10 skaters and as a result
everyone's contribution is
important. All six forwards
scored goals in this first game.
The defense provided byMackenzie McGavin, LeannePlunkett, Kaitlyn Michie andAutumn Wightman was verystrong and kept the puck inthe opposing end for long

The Blyth PeeWee Local
League Bulldogs travelled to
Listowel on Monday night,
Oct. 20 for the first game of
the season for both teams.

scoring in the first and Blyth
responded quickly to tie the
game up.

took the lead, only to have
Listowel tie it back up a
couple of minutes later. Both
teams scored again to make it
3 - 3 at the end of the second.
Early in the third Listowel
jumped out to 4-3 lead. Blyth
fought hard to tie it up and
pulled goalie Dustin Treble in
the last minute for a extra
attacker.
The final score was 5-3 for
the home team.
The Bulldogs played hard
and it looks like they will
have a team that will be able
to compete with the rest of the
league during the season,
coaches said.
You want your kids to have every
opportunity to succeed — the chance to
make the most of their abilities, to follow a dream. So you’ll
be happy to know that there are many exciting programs
available to help students maximize their individual potential.
The Student Success Program keeps students engaged
in learning and helps them graduate. With Dual Credits — part
of the Student Success Program — students participate in
apprenticeship training and postsecondary courses while
still in high school. Courses count
towards both a high school diploma
and a postsecondary diploma, degree or apprenticeship
certification. Dual Credits allow students to “try on” college,
which is ideal for students who need learning opportunities
outside of high school and who would benefit from a college
experience. To learn more about Dual Credits and other
programs like Expanded Co-op and Specialist High Skills Majors,
