from Toronto, Chicago,
Connecticut, New Jersey,
Washington DC and beyond
journeyed to Wingham to take part
in the walking tour of the town
where Alice lived as a girl.
The tour highlighted not only sites
of significance to Alice’s own
childhood but those places thought
to have been portrayed in her
writings. After the walk, the guests
were treated to tea in the museum
and some delightful stories about
our community by Belgrave’s, Ross
Procter.
In the evening, the party attended
the Blyth Festival and enjoyed a
presentation by Eric Coates on the
Festival and its successful 2008
season. The group toured the
Theatre and learned how this centre
for artistic excellence thrives in
Huron County.
The tour was organized by
Classical Pursuits of Toronto. For

The Blyth Legion held its bingo night fundraiser last week at Memorial Hall. It was very well-
