On Tuesday fed steers and heifers sold $2 lower. Choice steers and heifers sold $93 to $98 with sales to $106.75. Second cut sold $89 to $93. Cows sold on a good steady trade. On Thursday veal sold on a strong active trade. Lambs and sheep sold on a steady market and goats sold strong. On Friday calves sold $2 lower and yearlings steady. There were 357 steers on offer. Celebrating its 29th year, Canada’s Outstanding Young Farmers’ program is an annual competition to recognize farmers that exemplify excellence in their profession and promote the tremendous contribution of agriculture, and rural Canada.
