Livestock for the week ending Oct. 3
were 2,708 head of cattle, 707 lambs
and goats. On Tuesday fed steers and
heifers sold $2 lower. Choice steers
and heifers sold $93 to $98 with
sales to $106.75. Second cut sold
$89 to $93. Cows sold on a good
steady trade. On Thursday veal sold
on a strong active trade. Lambs and
sheep sold on a steady market and
goats sold strong. On Friday calves
sold $2 lower and yearlings steady.
There were 357 steers on offer. M-
R Farms of Exeter, consigned five
steers averaging 1,068 lbs. selling
for an average of $97.50 with one
charolais steer weighing 1,515 lbs.
