Police said that at approximately 8:30 p.m. that day a vehicle was travelling southbound on HarperLine when the driver lost control.The vehicle rolled into a ditchcoming to rest in a pasture.An OPP spokesperson said thevehicle contained three 16-year-old males and one 17-year old-male, all from the Ashfield-Colborne- Wawanosh area. One male was not injured, twowere treated for non-life threateninginjuries at Wingham hospital andMenary, who police now say was thedriver, was transferred to London Health Sciences Centre with critical injuries. A portion of Harper Line wasclosed as OPP technical collisioninvestigators pieced together thescene. Police said it appeared speed andseatbelt non-use were factors in the collision. Const. Joanna Van Mierlo said, “OPP wish to remind motorists and passengers in motor vehicles to always wear a seatbelt while inside a moving vehicle.Wearing a seatbelt properly is thenumber one way to prevent or reduce injury in the event of a colli- sion.” THE CITIZEN, THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 2008. At this house’s heart, on the second floor, is an open-plan living and dining area. The living room features a gas fireplace, sure to make this space a magnet for family activities in the cooler months.
