The Belgrave Brussels Beef Club
had another meeting Aug. 24. This
one was at the home of Kim Higgins
and members were invited to bring
their animals as a practice for the
show in Brussels.
The meeting started with some
show ring practice, and judging.
Then the animals were weighed
for members to have an idea where
their animals were on the
weight scale, and how much
they had to go to reach target
before the show at the fall fair or
for the Brussels show and sale
in October at the Brussels
stockyards.
Travis MacPherson a senior
member, gave the members a
clipping demonstration.
After they enjoyed a barbecue
courtesy of the Higginses. They also
cooked four steaks for a sight and
taste test.
The meeting ended with a group
picture and dessert.
