Rutledge was asked by Huron East economic development officer Jan Hawley to conduct the tour as part of the channel’s coverage of the Canadian Professional Golf Tour event in Huron County. Rutledge led the cameras on a tour lasting an hour and a half through the communities of Seaforth, Egmondville and Harpurhey. The tour’s stop in Seaforth is the first on a three-year contract with the town that will see the Classic played at least twice more. It is unclear when the segment will air and what form it will take when itis broadcast, but Rutledge speculatesthat the tour will most likely be cutdown to the five-minute area.Hawley has ensured that Seaforthwas ready for the first of its threeyears in the golf limelight. She said the main street was decorated and hundreds of volunteers have lent their talents to the tournament. Rutledge’s intentions were to show the people of The Golf Channel around Seaforth, outliningthe three distinct communities andthe lovely architecture Seaforth hasto offer.“I’m going to make the worldrealize there are actually threecommunities in Seaforth, not just one.
