THE CITIZEN, THURSDAY, JULY 17, 2008.STANLEY JOHN HESSEStanley John Hesse was calledhome to be with his beloved wife onor about May 23, 2008 at his winter home in Hollywood, Florida. Summers he spent at his Canadian home in Goderich. Stanley was born in Stratford on Aug. 23, 1929 and was predeceased by his parents Wilfred John Hesse (1956) and Elimna Salome (Dahmer) (1945); one niece, Cheryll Anne Hesse (1997); and his wife Myrtle Adeline (Clarke) (2006). Left to mourn his passing are his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Lucy Hesse of Brussels, three nieces, Linda Vankooten of Stratford, Barbara Wahl of Medicine Hat, Alberta and Beverly Hearn of Calgary, Alberta, and one step- nephew, Norman Welsh of Kitchener. A celebration and memorial service of Stanley’s life, and his travels will be held at the Salvation Army Citadel, Suncoast Drive, Goderich, on Saturday, July 19 at 1 p.m. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Huron-Perth Branch or to the Salvation Army, Goderich. They may be arranged through McCallum and Palla Funeral Home, Goderich. Condolences may be made at www.mccallumpalla.ca ISABEL HOLLANDIsabel Anne Elizabeth Holland(nee Brigham) of Kitchener passedaway at the Grand River Hospital, Kitchener on Friday, July 11, 2008. She was in her 86th year. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles Holland who predeceased her in 1992. She was the dear mother of Mary and her husband Lance Knight of Fergus, Joan Holland of London and Karen and her husband Peter Bland of Manotick, Ontario. Isabel will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her grandchildren, Tara and her husband Chris Mulhall, Kevin Knight and Erin Jones, all of Guelph, Meagan Knight of Perth, Australia, Nicole Holland of London, Gavin Caissie of Kitchener, and Charlotte and Samantha Bland of Manotick, Ontario. She was the sister of Enid MacDonald of Blyth. Isabel was predeceased by her parents Albert (1933) and Mary (1952) Brigham, her son Michael(1975) and daughter Nora (2001).Isabel was born and raised inBlyth. She attended nursing school in Stratford and graduated in 1943. She was nursing in the Kitchener- Waterloo Hospital when she met her husband Charles Holland and they were married on Dec. 13, 1948. They moved to Ingersoll where four of their five children were born. The family moved to New Brunswick in 1957 where their last child was born. In 1963, they moved to Prince Edward Island where they raised their family. Upon retirement in 1979, Isabel and Charlie returned to Ontario and took up residence in Mitchell. In later years, there were moves to Stratford and London and finally, in 1990, they returned to Kitchener where it all began. The funeral service for Isabel will be held at the Blyth Visitation Centre of Falconer Funeral Homes Ltd., 407 Queen St., Blyth on Saturday, July 19 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Pat Cookofficiating.Interment will be in Blyth UnionCemetery. As expressions of sympathy, the family would appreciate memorial donations to the Arthritis Society. DEANNA LOUISE HOLLINGER Mrs. Deanna Hollinger of Blyth, formerly of Wingham, passed away at Wingham and District Hospital on Tuesday, July 8, 2008. The former Deanna Rohn was the beloved wife of the late Peter Hollinger who predeceased her in 1996. She was the dear friend and companion of Bill Wagner of Blyth. Deanna was the dear mother of Candace Schill of Bluevale, Trevor Hollinger of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and Linda Hollinger of London. She was the daughter of Mel Barnes of Waterloo and sister of Robin and Rod Weller of Sauble Beach. Deanna will be lovingly remembered by grandchildren Karenand Jason Falkingham and KevinSchill and fiancée Janice Maysey,great-granddaughter Victoria Falkingham and sisters-in-law Ann Hollinger and Helen Broadhead. Deanna was predeceased by her mother and stepfather Rona and Henry Rohn and by her sister Dale Bowlby. Visitation was at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Thursday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. The funeral service was held at the funeral home chapel on Friday at 1 p.m. Sandy Morris officiated. Interment was in Brussels Cemetery, Morris Twp. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
