By Lexi Cook and Spencer Gibbs
Lexi – Wheeeew!
Spencer – We made it!
L – Congratulations Grade 8s.
S – The end of the 2007-2008 year
is finally here.
L – Just think of all the things we
did this year.
S – Ya, we definitely had an action-
packed year.
L – We did lots of activities like...
S – soccer, volleyball, basketball,
skiing and skipping.
L – We also had lots of other
privileges like, yearbook committee,
house leagues, and ping pong.
S – But to top off our whole year
we went to Camp Celtic. We made
lots of new friends and memories.
Four days of straight fun. Thanks
Mrs. Reynolds for that experience.
L – now here are a few thoughts
about the future that were originally
written by Bethany Black and Kyle
Griffiths in their 2004 valedictorian
speech: Graduation is a beginning not
an ending.
S – As we close the door to
elementary school and the doors to
high school open for us,
L – We must always remember to
never lose sight of our goals, choose
them wisely and carefully and then
work with determination to
accomplish all that you can.
S – Aim higher than you believe
you can reach; and you will discover
talents you never knew you had.
S – Now we would like to say
something about each graduate of
2007-2008 and who they might havebeen seen with.L – Blake and Spencer – These two
are always together and give a good
run when it comes to sports.
S – Cassie, Sarah, Keegan M. and
Paul – There’s always a few people in
a school who know what’s going on
with everybody, that’s Cassie and
Sarah D. When it comes to any sport
in the school you’ll see Paul and
Keegan M. there. When it just comes
to hanging out they’re always
together.
L – Aaron, Sean, Boe, Brandon,
Keegan F., Jordan, Benn, Derick, and
Zac – These are the people who are
always in on the latest video game
news and they know their stuff whenit comes to computers.S – Thomas – He likes to be
involved in everything and is one of
the participants of the Gauss math
test.
L – Brianne, Holly, Avery, and
Nicole – curling, horseback riding,
and ringette, these girls do it all.
S – Marina and Jessica M. – These
girls are also always together and can
sure talk it up amongst friends.
L – Alex, Elizabeth, Sam, Jessica
L., Meagan and Chantell – These girls
have one thing in common, year book
committee. Great job and thank you
for your work.
S – Brandy, Halley, Rachel and
Missy – These are the girls who youwould always see talking aboutsomething and are always up for a
laugh.
L – Jessica J., Sara and Katelyn –
These are the girls who always are
laughing about one thing or another,
like unicorns or just anything that
might have happened the other day.
S – Lexi – This is the girl that is just
seen all over the school whether it’s
on the soccer field or over by the four
square. She’s everywhere.
L – Last but not least is Riley, he’s
our drummer boy and just can’t keep
still. He also has a good reputation for
sports skill.
S – We’d also like to thank our
teaching staff and all they have donefor us this year. To conclude ourspeech we’d like to say a quote from
the book, Oh, The Places You’ll Go!
by the remarkable author Dr. Seuss.
S – And will we succeed?
L – Yes!
L – (98 and 3/4 per cent
guaranteed)
S – Kids, We’ll move mountains!
L – So, be our names Jessica, Blake
or Paul
S – Chantell, Sam, Boe, Avery,
Nicole
L – We’re off to great places!
S – Today is our day!
L – Our mountains are waiting,
S – Let’s get on our way!
