We are so fortunate to live in the town of Brussels, where people have continued to offer their friendship and support to our family over the past months. The cards, flowers, gifts, visits and telephone calls we received brightened George’s days. The Optimist Club was a never-wavering support for us. Jim and Sandra truly know the meaning of neighbours. Cinnamon Jim’s and staff have been like family to us, and Jo-Ann McDonald’s weekly reports and working the salon exceeded our expectations. Wayne and Hope, thank you for everything. Hank TenPas and Bill Meyers, carpenters extraordinaire, made life easier by building the ramp for George. To our friends in Clinton, a big thank you. Finally to my sisters, Betty and Mary you are the best support and friends we could ask for. There are so many more people we would like to show our appreciation to, so please accept this note as our thank you. Sometimes in life things take a turn to make you realize how lucky you really are to have the support of so many. George and I have lived in Brussels most of our lives and we are truly blessed to have so many people whom we can call our friends. They say friendship is not seen or heard but felt through the heart. Brussels people have the biggest hearts! – Pat and George Langlois. 24-1 LANGLOIS. George and I have been blessed with three wonderful grandkids, Curtis, Maurissa and Brent, who have been there with their love and support. We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to our family, friends, co-workers and neighbours for their many acts of kindness during Melissa and Nathan’s time in the hospital and after Nathan’s passing. We were overwhelmed with offers to help at our home, daily visits, calls, flowers, and gifts while Melissa was in the hospital and with cards, food, visits, calls, flowers, and gifts to us and the NICU at St. Joseph’s Health Centre after Nathan’s death. We would like to thank Wingham hospital staff for their prompt help and Dr. Moores for his continued support throughout. We thank St. Joseph’s doctors and staff for taking such good care of Melissa and always treating Nathan with love, and for all the respect they showed us throughout. Thank you to Doug and the McBurney Funeral Home for making Nathan’s memorial everything we envisioned and also for the security we felt knowing all we had to do was call on Doug and he would look after things for us. We would like to thank our parents for saying such beautiful things at the memorial service and for Jenn McLellan and Becky DeJong for speaking for us at the memorial when we felt we couldn’t. We would also like to thank our aunts and cousins for preparing and serving the beautiful luncheon after the service – it was so wonderful to be able to be at “home”.
