barn.
Brent Black welcomed everyone
and handed out copies of the 4-H
pledge to the new members. They
opened the meeting with the 4-H
Pledge. The leaders, Brent Black,
Sue Marriott and Rosie Foran
discussed upcoming fundraising
events and collected the members’
health and safety and the projects
information forms.
Hayley Boyle handed out
fundraiser posters for members to
post in various locations. It was
decided to invite MPPs to the
fundraiser at Mary’s Restaurant in
Lucknow on June 8.
Members were then reminded of
various 4-H events and camps they
can attend.
It was decided that meeting three
would be on May 22 and meeting

Marriott’s place.

should be included in the members’
books that have to be handed in to
complete the club.
Halters were handed out to the
new members and a treasurer report
was given by Emily Gibson. Ideas
for a 4-H display were considered
and will be discussed again at the
next meeting.
After the business part of the
meeting Brent Black introduced
Ross McCall, the owner of McCall
Livestock. He gave the history of the
business then gave the members a
detailed tour of the facility
explaining the different aspects.

facility with automatic tag readers
and an electronic cattle processing
crate. It employs four full-time
workers and two part-time workers.
Mr. McCall discussed the vaccines
they used and answered questions.
Brent Black thanked Ross and
