The Melville Guild met in the
church parlour, Tuesday evening,
April 15 with 12 members present.
The Terpstra sisters, Emily,
Chelsea and Allison, stepdanced and
gave entertaining and informative
speeches before the meeting started.
Leona Armstrong opened the
meeting with a poem, Spring
Flowers. Cathrine Campbell led in
prayer then the hymn, Whatever My
God Ordains is Right, was sung.
Rev. Campbell led the responsive
reading of Psalm 84. Mrs.
Armstrong read an article entitled
Breathe Deep the Day.
A video on fall prevention,
produced by Marguerite Thomas
was shown. The video showed
development from babyhood until
old age with some pictures of local
people. As people age they are most
prone to falls. The video made
suggestions on fall prevention.
President Mary Carr conducted
the business. The WMS spring rally
will be held in Brussels May 12.
The Guild is invited to meet with
its twin society in Wingham May 6.
Valerie Sharp will be the speaker.
Alice Marks reported on plans for
the springtime supper to be held
Sunday, April 27. Tickets are still
available from members.
The annual WMS church service
will be June 15.
