paper with something written on it.
Two members of the congregation
and choir were invited to come and
were given papers with trees and fishon them. Sandy then connectedeveryone with a string and when oneperson was asked to move, everyonemoved. The adults were then askedto drop their string and return to theirseats. This showed the children that weare all connected and when some are

The children demonstrated one of
the songs they have learned in
Sunday school by marching around
the church playing the drums they
had made and singing their song.Scripture reading was from Isaiah 35and the 31st Psalm was read responsively. The hymn In the Bulb there is a Flower was sung.Sandy’s message to the adults wasThings about Earth Day.Everyone found a piece of paper
on their seat when they sat down.

something they could do for Earth
Day, April 22. She suggested that
she herself was going to try and buy
local, at a local grocery store and
farmers’ markets in the area. Other
suggestions were to plant a tree,
recycle or compost. She encouraged
everyone to make their own footprint
in the world.
The last hymn, For the Fruit of All
Creation, was followed by the
commissioning and benediction and
the singing of Lord We Pray.
