The family of the late Fran McClinchey would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all of the friends, family and neighbours who have demonstrated such kindness during the recent days. This list of friends who have sent cards, donations and food is far too lengthy to mention here but please know that we appreciate your support very much. Your visits and calls have helped us during this most difficult time. We would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Keith Hay, his staff and the staff at the Clinton Public Hospital. Most specifically, we would like to thank the Falconer Funeral Home for your extra attention to detail; Pastor Les Cook for a wonderful sermon and committal service; to the United Church for the wonderful meal and community fellowship and to Greg McClinchey for adding a very unique and personal touch to the funeral. Your kindness will not be forgotten. – Robert McClinchey and family. 16-1 -------------------------------------------- ROBERTS. It gives me very great pleasure to thank everyone who contributed in any way to making my 80th birthday party such a huge success. It was wonderful having the family home, and I greatly appreciated their lovely gifts and also all of their help for the entire weekend. We all found the family party on Saturday night at the Fireside Café most enjoyable. The come and go tea at the community centre on Sunday, was absolutely fantastic, with the lovely decorations in the hall, and also the excellent refreshments which were provided by the U.C.W. ladies. Also, I am still amazed at the number of people who came out to help me celebrate, some even came from considerable distances, and others in somewhat frailer health, who made the effort to attend. I am also most grateful for the lovely gifts, telephone calls and astonishing number of cards which I received. I am still somewhat dazed, and I hasten to add, without ‘potent potables’, to believe it all really happened. Again, my most sincere thanks to you all for giving me such a truly, wonderful memory to treasure. – John. 16-1b CARRY ON CLOGGERS. On behalf of the Carry On Cloggers I would like to thank everyone for supporting our show on Sunday. With your help we raised over $6,000 to donate to the CT Scanner for Huron. Thanks to Bruce Swan, Shaun Henry, Jim Dykstra and the Blyth Legion Ladies Auxiliary for all your help. Special thanks go to all the cloggers, line dancers and all other performers, including our two MCs, Mac and Jack with all their extra humour. What a fantastic performance by everyone. – Norma Preszcator and the Carry On Cloggers. 16-1 CHILDCARE AVAILABLE IN Blyth. Lunch and snacks provided. Outdoor play and crafts daily.
