Easter Sunday was early this year.
It is always the first Sunday after the
first full moon after the spring
equinox. The next time that Easter will beas early as March 23 is in 2228 (220 years from now – no need for
any of us to be concerned about
that).
The last time Easter was on March
23 was in 1913. Only people who
are 95 years of age would have
experienced that occasion.
On Sunday, March 30 Rev. Wayne
Beamer will be conducting
Confirmation and Communion at
Knox United, Belgrave at 9:30

ROOMY & ATTRACTIVE NARROW LOT HOME
Designed for a narrow lot, this four-bedroom home is both roomy and attractive, incorporating all the amenities expected by today’s
growing family.
The entry, up two steps to a covered porch, leads to a compact foyer. To the right, overlooking the porch, a guest room/den is ideally
located to double as a home office. Ahead is a coat cupboard and a powder room, both situated for easy use by guests.
The spacious great room includes a built-in gas fireplace, flanked by deep windows, as well as a door onto a terrace at the back,
making this a room for all seasons.
The dining room is open to the great room and separated from the kitchen only by a raised eating bar. Light will flood through the
windows at the back, creating a sense of airiness in all three rooms.
In the kitchen, a window over the double sink features an extra-deep sill, the perfect spot for plants and collectibles. The U-shaped
counter configuration will save steps for the cook, and a built-in pantry provides extra storage space.
Upstairs, the master suite overlooks the back garden, for privacy. The ensuite includes a soaker tub, lit by a couple of windows, as
well as a shower stall. Double basins will help ease the morning rush-hour. A spacious walk-in closet completes the lay-out.
The laundry room is handily located on the second floor, where most of the soiled linens and clothing will be generated. Bedrooms
No. 2, 3 and 4 share a three-piece bathroom.
The double garage includes an entry to the foyer, as well as an enclosure for the furnace and hot-water tank.
On the exterior, decorative shutters frame the mullioned windows and board-and-batten siding enliven the gables. Attractive cut-stone
accents add a touch of elegance to the façade, as do square wooden pilasters.
This home measures 28 feet wide and 47 feet, six inches deep, for a total of 1,991 square feet of living space.
