We’ve thought of you daily, for the
past five years,
We’ve reminisced and laughed and
shared lots of tears.
You’d be up early these mornings,
blowing lots of snow,
Then at 10:00, to JR’s coffee shop
you would go.
You loved a good laugh, and stories
that were told,
You were so young at heart, you
never seemed old.
You didn’t deserve to get sick, we all
felt so bad.
We all love you so much, we’re
lucky you were our Dad.
– Always remembered and loved by
Carol, Sandra, Bonnie, Murray,
Bruce, Kendra and their families.

March 14, 2002.
There will always be a heartache,
And often a silent tear,
But always precious memories,
Of the days when you were here.
We hold you close within our hearts,
And there you will remain,
To walk with us throughout our
lives,
Until we meet again.
– Forever loved and missed, Ken,

Continued from pae 15
“Go, worship the Lord. Even your
women and children may go with
you; only leave your flocks and
herds behind” (10:24).
Now Pharaoh is willing to let all
the people go, but not the flocks and
herds. Was Moses willing to
sacrifice their animals to go on this
three-day journey into the desert?
No! He will not give an inch.
That is the position we need to
take with the devil too. The devil
wants all of us in his captive care. If
he cannot have all of us, then he
wants one area. He wants a beach
head. Don’t surrender this area to the
Lord. You give him an inch and he
wants a mile.
Is there an area of your life you
know you need to deal with? Is there
a situation that you have been
compromising? Has the Lord
brought something in your mind for
a reason and this is touching a raw
nerve?
Don’t justify your action. Don’t
minimize it. Don’t blame others for
it. Confess it. Repent. Live your life
for all that God has intended it to be
lived. Don’t compromise!
Compromise only brings misery.
During this season of Lent, there is
a greater Moses who did not
compromise. He was offered the
kingdoms of the world. He could
have turned stones to bread to satisfy
his hunger after fasting 40 days. He
is obedient to his Father even to
death on the cross. He does give an
inch to the enemy.
Today we look to the spotless
Lamb of God for our salvation from
the compromises we have made.
Friends, I believe we all want to do
what is right. Yet there are
temptations to compromise that look
so promising. Moses could have
compromised and partly fulfilled
God’s command. Yet he waits to
fully fulfill God’s command. God
calls you and me to live lives fully
committed to him and experience the
joy and peace of that relationship.
Live life the way God
intended, says pastor
