Victim Services of Huron County is a volunteer based organization that provides emotional support and practical assistance to victims of crime, trauma and tragic circumstance. Huron Respite Network invites applications for the position of Coordinator This is a 32 hours/week contract position (for approx. 6 months) with an immediate start date. The Huron Respite Network is a partnership of thirteen local Agencies that collaborate to provide respite in Huron County for children, youth and adults with special needs. Position Summary: The Coordinator will act as a resource and facilitate the objectives of the Advisory and Management Committees. Duties will range from administrative; management of subsidies, develop and monitor respite options; recruitment of providers; intake; matching applicants and providers; maintenance of a data base. Skills: Post-secondary degree/diploma, minimum of 3 years community experience in the Human Services field is necessary; demonstrated accomplishments in a coordination role with health or social service organizations; strong leadership, communication and interviewing skills; knowledge of community based resources; crisis intervention skills; ability to self-direct; experience with MS Office; valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
