the location were a result of “poor

Councillor Greg McClinchey said
that good drivers under certain
conditions can also get into accidents.
Council decided to send a letter to
the OPP and to the County expressing
their concerns.
Reeve Neil Vincent and deputy-reeve
Murray Scott who represent North
Huron at county council said these
concerns were not brought before
Huron County council.
If no changes are made on the road,
council may look at negotiating ways
to take over the county road on a 90/10
split. That would mean 10 per cent of
the costs to run the road would be paid
by the township, the other 90 by the
county. North Huron would be liable
for the road and would have control
over traffic.

Sometime between 10 p.m. and
11:30 p.m. on Feb. 23 suspect(s)
stole a snowmobile from a rear
parking lot. The snowmobile was
apparently driven away although the
key was not with the machine.
Tracks led eastbound on Dinsley
but became obscured at that point.
The snowmobile is described as a
black and orange 2006 Arctic Cat F6.
The VIN# 4UF06SNWX6T124008 and
the Ontario marker number is
987364.
Anyone with information is asked

NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS OF
TRESPASSING
SNOWMOBILERS
Huron OPP officers received
numerous complaints of
snowmobilers trespassing on private
property this weekend.
Some incidents occurred in rural
areas and several occurred in built-
up areas. Most stemmed from
snowmobilers who travelled off the
designated trail and cut across
private property to get to their
destination. This is considered
trespassing by police.
Snowmobilers are being urged to
be considerate and lawful while
enjoying their winter recreation.
Snowmobilers who are stopped and
identified will be charged if
necessary.
