The next euchre at the Legion Hall
is Feb. 25 at 7:30 p.m. Last week’s
euchre was cancelled because of the
snowstorm.We are glad to hear that MarionYoung is recovering at home aftersurgery in Kitchener hospital.The seniors meeting is Feb. 27with a potluck lunch at noon.Entertainment is by Blyth PublicSchool students.The Blyth Swinging Seniors havemade a generous donation of $400 toHuron County’s CT scanner.
The club’s volunteer committee is
currently making plans for the Zone
rally of USCO on April 7 to be held
in Blyth.
Checking the past

at the Bainton Gallery in Blyth Memorial Hall on Monday, Family Day. People were invited to
come and exchange family stories through pictures, news items, family trees and stories
about the village. People could have items scanned or copied and the Voddens also had a
portion of their own family information on display. They also did internet searches for people
interested in tracing their ancestors. Among those checking things out were David and Susan

regarding the Associations aims and
objectives, membership benefits and
web-site access.
Member Anne Elliott said, the
Association exists to help local
businesses and the retail community
and to upgrade and promote the
Blyth commercial shopping district.
“It strives to improve the physical
appearance and economic well-
being of the community. The
Association has had activities in thepast that have funded improvementsthat attract and maintain customersand clients to the area. It alsoendeavours to educate and informthe membership with currentmarketing trends.”Currently, fees to belong to the
Association are $75 for retail
operators, $45 for associate
members (service providers) and
$25 for service clubs/organizations.
Retail members benefit from
shared advertising, print, radio
promotions and other promotional
materials; web page updates; annual
spring and fall dinner meetings with
informative speakers; welcoming
