Jan. 13, 2008. He was 82.
Russ was the beloved husband
of the former Dorothy Edwards.
He was the father of Guy Kelly
of Orangeville and Gail Kelly
and Michael Copland of
Sacramento, California. He was
the father-in-law of Helen Kelly
of Burlington and grandfather of
Scott Kelly of Calgary and Ian
Kelly of Antigonish, N.S. Russ
was the son-in-law of Ruth Edwards
of Brampton and brother of Lois
Morgan of McGillivray Twp.
Russ is also survived by Dorothy’s
family, daughter Marlene and
Murray Hall of Atwood,
grandchildren Kevin and Elizabeth
White of Cranbrook, Shannon and
Ben Huigenbos and their children
Brent and Cole of Wroxeter, Kelly
White of Brussels, Joey Hall of
Atwood, son-in-law Keith White of
Brussels, sister-in-law Lynda andRay Hall of Erin, and brothers-in-law Merlin Edwards and Ray andJaki Edwards of Brampton.
His parents William and Jean
(Anderson) Kelly and brother
Clifford Kelly predeceased him.
Visitation was at McBurney
Funeral Home, Wingham on
Wednesday, from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 -
9 p.m.
The funeral service will be held at
the funeral home chapel on
Thursday at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Jeff
Hawkins will officiate.
Interment will be in Brussels
Cemetery, Morris-Turnberry Twp.
Memorial donations to Wingham
and District Hospital Foundation
(for physician recruitment) would
be appreciated as expressions of
sympathy.

THOMAS HENRY SMITH
Rev. Thomas Smith of Brussels,
formerly of Wingham passed awayat Huronlea on Sunday, Jan. 13,2008. He was 97.He was the beloved husband of
the former Margaret Black. He was
the dear father of Emily and Ernest
Phillips of RR2, Blyth, Gwen and
Vincent McInnes of RR2, Wingham
and Peter and Lorie Smith of RR2,
Lakefield. Mr. Smith will be
lovingly remembered by
grandchildren Karen, Les, Tracey,
Kelly, Jessica, Ben, Mitch, Hilary
and his six great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his
grandson by marriage Jason Edgar,
two sisters and one brother.
Visitation was at the McBurney
Funeral Home, Wingham on
Monday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m.
Masonic services were held in the
funeral home on Monday at 7
p.m.
The funeral service was held at
Wingham United Church on
Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Wayne B.
Beamer officiated.
Mr. Smith’s final resting placewill be at Woodlawn Cemetery,Guelph.Memorial donations to the Terry
Fox Foundation would be
appreciated as expressions of
