Tasty
Grace Hildebrand was starting her day not just with a hearty
breakfast, but with a smile as she enjoyed the fare served

PEOPLE AROUND
AUBURN
A full house greeted area
residents as they came out to support
the Auburn Lions at their monthly
pancake breakfast. An unknown
Bayfield resident was the lucky
winner of the 50/50 draw.
Wayne and Cathy Carter won last
week’s Lion hockey draw.
This will be the last function at
Auburn Memorial Hall until the
February Lions pancake breakfast as
the hall will undergo renovations. A
new exterior door will be installed
along with new countertop, flooring
and the cupboards will get a fresh
facelift.
Get-well wishes are sent to
Emmerson Crompton, who is a
patient at University Hospital,
London. Emmerson and Joan have
recently moved into the village at the
former Johnston Hardware building.
Their mothers, Joyce Gillis and
Minnie Crompton reside with them.
The Women’s Institute meeting
will be Jan. 17.
