Impressive
carol
service
The annual Candlelight Carol
service, held in St. Andrews
United Church on Sunday even
ing was a very beautiful and
impressive event.
The auditorium, decorated
with traditional evergreens and
candles, was a lovely setting
for the twenty.four voice choir,
who, carrying lighted candles,
moved up the aisles, singing
the processional hymn, ‘A Song
The World Is Singing’.
Mr. Beck was in the pulpit
and conducted the service, read
ing the Christmas story as told
by St. Luke and sung by the choir
and congregation; ‘Angels from
the Realms of Glory’, Little
Donkey’, a women’s chorus,
‘Away in a Manger’, ‘O Little
Town’; a Christmas Gloria, ‘In
Heaven, In Heaven’; solo by
Ernest Rehn, ‘It Came Upon
The Midnight Clear’, ‘God Rest
Ye Merry Gentlemen’; men’s
chorus, ‘When The Little Lord
Jesus Came’; chorus and solo
by Ted Dunn, ‘The First Noel’,
‘Let The Savior In’ and the
recessional hymn, ‘Silent
Night’
