Residents of Bayfield were taking bets this summer on how long
this tree would lean before it fell over. The dead hunk of lumber
on Chiniquay Street had been rotting all summer until citizens
grew tired of waiting for nature to take its course. Here George
Bellchamber is giving the tree a hearty push to hasten the drop.

ARTHUR RUNT HOY
Arthur Hunt Hoy, 79, died
at Huronvlew Thursday, Novem-
her J6 after a two week ill
ness,
Born Decerpber 11, 1887, the
‘ son of William Hoy and Caro
line Carney, at Clarksburg, On
tario, Mr. Hoy was a resident
of Walton, Huron County, for
many years.
Mr. Hoy was employed as
a railroad section foreman fce-
fore retiring in 1949.
He married Ida May Stafford
June 9, 1909. She predeceased
him June 7, 1967,
Mr. Hoy was a member of
the Bethel Pentecostal Taber
nacle.
Surviving are six sons and
three daughters: William, Les
lie, Alfred, Norman, and Mer-
vyn, all. of Goderich; Carson, "
of Manitouwadge, Ont; Margue
rite (Mrs. George Hutchins),
Rosella (Mrs. John West), both
of Goderich; Irene (Mrs. John
Campbell, Clair Colquhoun,
Paul Garrow, David Harland,
James MacBride,’Larry Math-
ews, Robin McAdam, Richard
Peterson, Robbie Wise, David
Kuehl, Brian Makins, Brad Tur
