Linda grew up in parochial schools where the nuns wore habits very similar to those won in the story of life in the Convent San Tanco in old Sa.n Juan. Miss Dangcil was born in San Francisco where at the age of three she began her show business career in a sing, ing-dancing vaudeville act with her brother Mel. The Dangcils moved to Holly wood when Linda was ten and she attended Precious Blood School where her teachers, the nuns, were of great help to her in her work - teaching her their Irish dances and songs, and making it possible for her to be absent from school when she had an engagement in a motion picture or on stage in one of the Mexican-American theatres around California where she and her brother fre quently' entertained. Later she went on to Immaculate Heart Higtv-.S.chX30i rand^college iwhere’ she,, majored. ifh Ma.ty^ ar-t^ ,t t r| J Soon after movingtoSouthern California, Linda played a part in the movie “Tropic Zone”, which starred Ronald Reagan and Rhonda Fleming. She also appeared in such films as “Miss Sadie Thompson” and “Apache”, and in later hits, “The Magnificent Seven,” “El Dorado” and “West Side Story”. On stage Linda played a little girl role in “Peter Pan” with Mary Martin, the production which began in Los Angelesand San Francisco and enjoyed a successful run at the Winter Garden in New York. On TV Miss Dangcil has play ed parts, in many series, in cluding “Maverick”, “Sugar— foot,” “Stagecoach West,” “The Rifleman”, “Tall Man”, “I Spy”, “The Islanders”, “Branded”, “Kraft Theatre,” and others. “The Flying Nun” is seen on the CTV network Thursdays at 7 p.m. IN 2 WEEKS AT CROWN LANES and JackpotMrs, W. E, Parker, Mrs. LeRoy Poth and F. A. Clift were named as a committee to plan programs.
