Donated to children's surgery
The Protestant Chapel Guild
held its monthly meeting on
October 16 in the chapel apnex,
Mrs. Hilda Hibbert gave an
inspiring devotional and Mrs.
Kathy Johnson played the'
organ for several hymns, Pre
sident, Mrs, Hibbert wel
comed both new and old mem
bers to the meeting.
The business meeting open,
ed with Mrs. Muriel Aiken
reading the minutes Of the
previous meeting and the trea
surer’s report was given by
Mrs. Sandra Sinker.
It was voted that a cheque
totalling $250 be forwarded
from the Chapel Guild to
‘‘Operation Vellore^ to help
equip the Children’s Surgery
there, in India.
Some of the ladies will be in
charge of a pot luck lunch to
be served to CFB Toronto’s
Young People on November’12
as they will be in charge of
the Sunday Service.
Centennial and provincial
spoons will be available until
the end of the year and may
be ordered from Mrs. Joyce
Hatten. Also, the Grenfell Mis*
sion Christmas cards can be
ordered from Mrs. Hilda Hib
bert.
Mrs, Muriel Aiken was in
charge of a game to test the
ladies’ biblical knowledge and
a delicious lunch was served
by Mrs, Mary Cummings’ .
