During the gala-opening a young group of folk singers entertained, They were, soloist Miss Beverly Sparks, Misses Liza and Kate Williams, Mike Indyk, Mark McAlister and Miss Leslie Austin, Refreshing glasses of lemon­ ade were served to the many who attended by Mrs. W, E, Parker and Mrs. Donald Lance. Prize winners were: Bonnie Cameron, age^.11; David Kent, age 10; Mary Jane Scott, age 5; Kate Williams, age 14; Brian Beck, age 12; Liza Williams, age 14; Anne Cox, age 8; Est­ her Merrill, age 12; Douglas Willock, age 14; Joan Cameron, age 4; Jocelyn Downie, age 5; 'John Sholdice, age 5; Cathy Till­ mann, age 12; Christine Downie, age 7; Philip Cook, age 5. Judges were Mrs. E. W. Odd. leifson, Miss Dorothy Cox, and Miss Clare Taylor. . The entire expenses were borne by the Pioneer Park As­ sociation and awards were pre- • sented to the winners by Canon F. H. Pauli. E. Morley (nee Margaret Burt) andgrand. son of the late Mrs, Lulu M, Dirt. Mrs. Lloyd Scotchmer ' and Harry Baker, great aunt and uncle of the deceased, also attended the funeral.
