New Fleming feed mill has latest processing equipment The Fleming Feed Mill on the outskirts of town is a bright new landmark on the Clinton skyline. Inside the shiny new 24 foot square by 30 foot high facility is some of the lat» est equipment now in use in the anfmal feed compounding in? dustry, According to Bill Flemingthe mill will specialize in hog and poultry feeds, in bulk, pellet., ized form. Grain will be purchased loc ally and held in overhead stor- age bins, then will be dropped ‘ to go through the Schute ham mermill which is capable of pro. cessing four tons per hour. The hammer mill is powered by a 60-h.p. electric motor. From the pelletizer the prepared feed is then elevated into overhead cribbed storage bins ready to be spouted into trucks for form delivery. Bulk delivery will be a reg ular service offered at the new i mill.
