The University of Toronto has been headquarters for 1,303 secondary school teachers who were marking the 175,00Q pap. ers written by people with as piration foy higher leaimingin various fields. While this year’s graduating class must undergo the agony that accompanies the long sum mer wait for mar ds, Grade 13 classes next year will b© spared much of this type of concern. Jt was announced earlier in the year that 1968 Grade 13 standing will oe ueternlnnea by the schools. Main objection from some areas to the'present system of examining Grade J3 hopefuls, has been the lata arrival of marks. While mid-August is usually when results reach the Students, it has left little time to make final arrangements and decisions about fall glasses at universities and schools often selected on the basis of marks. This year, through the use of computer tapes and print-outs, 1 the system will be somewhat improved. All Ontario uni rer. sltles will receive the record of every candidate the same day the local high schools do. This will permit universities to quickly process admission applications from Ontario stud ents, Wedding lectures JERVIS STUDIO Phone 48&7006 ff A spcmaj. revisiu-omax’-dofiiQ members representing the On tario Department of Education and the universities will have reviewed each student's results before they are released.
