home of his daughter, Mrs.
Betty Wilkin, and family in

recovery.

The deceased was born in
Goderich Township on the Cut
Line, daughter of John and
Elizabeth Gardner. She had liv
ed in Goderich for a number
of years before coming to live
with het niece, Mrs. Herb Jen
kins, Clinton, 25 years ago. She
Was a member of the Presby
terian Church in Goderich. Miss
Gardner had been ill only a
short while prior to her death.
She is survived by one bro
ther,. Adelbert, Goderich; three
nieces, Mrs. ijerb (Elva) Jen-

CTV, has made the wisest
choices as far as rating are.con-’
cerned. And what’s more ink'
portant? That’s hqw networks
and stations survive,
TO ' date, the CTV schedule
doesn’t include that horrible,
hprrible Oscar Brand and his
New JScene. .
Last year we said it was
awful in a little stronger lan
guage. It was, and the viewers
apparently agreed, according to
the ratings.
That kind of television isn’t
needed anywhere,
The Miss U.S.A, Beauty Pa
geant came out in" top spot, ac
cording to the National Nielsen
Ratings taken during a two-
week period during May.
Another special, The Qpmedy
Hour, placed 2iid with Andy
Griffith number 3, and Bonanza
in 4th “spot. The Dean Martin
