A large congregation

church Sunday morning. Mr.
Reg. Hodgsoxx was the leader.
Music was provided by the Sun
day School with Mr. C. Spinner
leading and Maxine Godbolt as
pianist. The church was decorat
ed with baskets of spring flow
ers. A beautiful fuschia plant in
memory of the late Mrs. James
Neil and placed ixx the church by
hex’ son Murray, adorned the
! pulpit. The scripture readings
! were given by Doreen Proctor.
The story of Timothy was told
by Mrs. Weix' iix her usual cap
able manner. A very fine Mo
ther’s Day address was given by
the pastor, Rev. Weir. Five chil
dren were baptized during the
service.

The Teen Town election dance
was held last Friday, May 12,
Unfortunately there were many
activities on Friday night and
the attendance at the dance was
not as high as we had hoped
for. However, everyone co-operat
ed in the voting and here are
the results:

and Lorna Taylox* was the lucky
winner. Chub Whiting was

At Mother’s Day Service
Mother’s Day service was held
in Elimville Church Sunday with
a large crowd in attendance.

Many lovely spring flowers
adorned the alter of St. And
rew’s United Church oix Sunday
morning when a special Mothers’
Day service was held. Mothers
of the congregation formed a
large choix’ and sang for theix*
anthem “She Is Waiting for
Me”. . „ ..
The Mothers’ Day programs
followed: “The Call of Timothy”
was dramatized by Wayne Mc
Bride, Ami Sinclaii’ and Lois
McLellan. Much encouragement
was felt by the teachers and
scholars of the Sunday School
for the’large attendance present.
