Mrs. Ulric Snell returned home the latter part of last week fol­ lowing her illness in Victoria Hospital, London. Mr. Wilber Cudmore wife and daughter, Helen, of Edmonton,. Alta., visited last week with his sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. William Fraser, and also Mr. and Mrs. Allan Fraser. Mr. T. O. Southcott, who underwent an operation for ap­ pendicitis in Victoria Hospital, London, is expected home this week. Dr. and 'Mrs. E. S. Steiner at­ tended the funeral of Dr. Her­ bert Davis in St. Thomas Satur­ day. Day Of Grace On Income Tax ■Canadians have a “day of grace” this year in filing their income tax returns. A revenue department official said Tues­ day night that because .April 30 falls on a Sunday, Canadians have until May 1 to send in their returns. Normally the dead­ line for filing the returns is mid­ night, April 30. Mrs. Malcom McLeod The funeral of Mrs. Malcom McLeod, who died on Sunday, .was held on Tuesday from the home of her son-in-law, John E. ■MacLean, Tuckersmith. During Service James T« Bcott sang “Be­ yond the sunset.” The flower­ bearers were Wilson Broadfoot, ■Alex Broadfoot, Elmer Cameron, Gord. McDonald, Ross and Bruce McLean. Police Car Hits 90 A 90-mile-an-hour dash by an Ontario Provincial Police cruiser carrying a rare drug Tuesday helped in a fight to save the life of a 12-year-old boy. The boy whose name was not revealed, was stricken with virus pneumonia at his home in Forest, 50 miles west of London. The nearest source of jmromycin, needed to treat him, was a drug company here in London. Provincial police delivered the drug in 39 minutes.
