Day Of Grace On Income Tax
■Canadians have a “day of
grace” this year in filing their
income tax returns. A revenue
department official said Tues
day night that because .April 30
falls on a Sunday, Canadians
have until May 1 to send in
their returns. Normally the dead
line for filing the returns is mid
night, April 30.
Mrs. Malcom McLeod
The funeral of Mrs. Malcom
McLeod, who died on Sunday,
.was held on Tuesday from the
home of her son-in-law, John E.
■MacLean, Tuckersmith. During

bearers were Wilson Broadfoot,
■Alex Broadfoot, Elmer Cameron,
Gord. McDonald, Ross and Bruce
McLean. The pallbearers were

bell officiated. Interment was in
Maitlandbank. cemetery.
Police Car Hits 90
A 90-mile-an-hour dash by an
Ontario Provincial Police cruiser
carrying a rare drug Tuesday
helped in a fight to save the life
of a 12-year-old boy.
The boy whose name was not
revealed, was stricken with
virus pneumonia at his home in
Forest, 50 miles west of London.
The nearest source of jmromycin,
needed to treat him, was a drug
company here in London.
Provincial police delivered the
drug in 39 minutes.
The mangel appears to be one
of the oldest cultivated crops
