Clinton Police Chief Lloyd
Westlake reported this week
that Constable Frank Draper
has resigned from the Clinton
Police force as of September 14,
Mr, Westlake gave no reason
for the resignation and said the
police committee would be
meeting to discuss the
replacement of Mn Draper in
the near future.
. Mr. Draper was hired by
Clinton on September 28, 1972
as part of a plan to bolster
Clinton's Police Force.
Police also reported that a
car driven by Bonnie Bjerg of
RR 2 Forest struck the CNR
Underpass last Saturday with
about $900 damange done,

tario Snowmobile Drag Cham-
pionships proved to be another
day of keen competition for all
competitors and an afternoon
filled with excitement and
thrills for Hully Gully racing
fans. The best time of the day
was turned in by Keith Vessair
on a Alouette 440 from Honey
Harbour, the time 8.6 seconds
for 1/8 mile strip. Top points
man for the day was Peter
Nieuwenhuizen on a Scorpion
from Watford with 145 points.
John McGuire on Alouette
from .Bramalea was second
with 118.5. Top lady was
Audrey Collins on Roll-o-flex
and Chaparral from Varna
with 90 points, Nancy Walker
from Mt. Brydes on Roll-o-flex
second with 66. Next event in
Championship Series will run
Sunday Oct. 7 at Hully Gully.
