Morgan and Jane motored to Toronto and attended the skating carnival at the Maple Leaf Gardens. Mrs. Tillie Tetreau of Hensall visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. W. McAdams, London. Mr. Henry Dearing, who suf­ fered a heart attack last week, is progressing as well as can be expected. At the present.time he is confined to his bed. H. Daynard adjoining the village of Staffa. The land was rented by Ontario Hydro Electric Power Commission to provide housing for workmen putting through the new 60-cycle line running from Devizes to Seaforth. Staffa is the centre point for the two loca­ tions. Mrs..Hillary Horton The funeral of the late Mrs. Hillary Horton, who died in To­ ronto Sunday was held .Tuesday afternoon from the Hopper- Hoc­ key funeral home, conducted by Rev. E. Aidworth of Tillsonburg and assisted by Rev. H, J. Ma­ honey. Mrs. Horton was a resi­ dent of Exeter for thirty-four years. Her maiden name was Frances E. L. Saunby. Her hus­ band will be remembered as a blacksmith in Exeter who lost his life in November 1945 after being run down by an autmobile while riding a bicycle. Since the death of her husband, Mrs. Hor­ ton has made her home with her daughters, (Hildred) Mrs. E. T. Edworthy, of Tillsonburg, and (Alberta) Mrs. J. H. Messer, of Toronto, at whose home she passed away. Mr. and Mrs. Messer and Mr. and Mrs. "Ed- worthy attended the funeral. The pallbearers were Messrs. Herman Hodgson, Wesley Lamport, W. G. Medd, B. Wr. F.
