NEILANS—At Huronview Home, Clinton, on Wednesday November 7, 1973, John Neilans in his 84th year. Beloved husband of the late Rachel Cook and dear father of Mrs, John (Jean) Leiner, of Weston, Clarence, of Clinton, and stepfather of Robert Schrenk, of Kentn0re, New York. Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. William (Rae) Shad- dock of Clinton. Seven grand- children and one great grandchild. The flowers at the front of the church were placed by Mr. and Mrs. Harry Watkins in honor of the marriage of their daughter Shirley to John Mallett in Londesboro Church last Saturday evening. CUBS The First Londesboro Cub Pack met on Tuesday evening with Bruce Hunking of the Blue Den opening the meeting and Cameron Moon of the Yellow Den leading the pur- pose. Baloo David Reid was in charge of the recreation period. The boys started their craft project during the work period under the direction of Cub- master Stan McDonald and - leaders David Reid, Clair McClure and Laura Popp. Steven Popp of the Red Den closed the meeting. PERSONALS The village lost one of their esteemed residents, Mrs. Lily Webster, who passed away in Huronview on Sunday morning in her 87th year. Sympathy is extended to her brother Mr. Will Govier. Mrs. Jack Hamilton of Lon- don and Mrs, Harry McEwan of Chatham spent a few days with their father, Mr, Will Govier and attended their aunt, Mrs. Lily Webster's funeral. Rev. McDonald was in At- wood on Tuesday attending the funeral of the hite Elgin Coughlin. Mr. and Mrs, Dennis Shob- brook, Kim and Cindy of Gait visited on Sunday with his brother, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Shobbrook, Darrell and Diana, Mr, and Mrs. Charles Nelson and Mr. and Mrs. Peter Staniforth of Clinton were Sun- day dinner guests at the Manse with Rev. McDonald. Congratulation to Miss Kathleen McEwing on receiving her marks for her Registered Nursing Certificate. She is on the staff of Wine-tarn Hospital. Several men from here spent last week hunting in' Northern Ontario. Tom Allen And Cliff Saundercock returned , home on Tuesday night. Jim McEwing, Nelson Lear and Bill Leiner, returned on Sunday. Two symphony concerts planned The Goderich Rotary Club in co-operation with the Sully Foundation will be sponsoring two symphony concerts this year, the first of which is to be a Christmas Symphony on Saturday, December 15 at 8 p.m. in Goderich District Collegiate Institute. The concert will be conduc- ted by Clifford Evens and guest artists will be the famed Earle Terry Singers. The Spring Symphony is already in the planning stages.
