McCLURE—At Goderich on
Friday, Nov. 2 1973, James Russell
McClure of Colborne Twp., in his
62nd year. Beloved son of Mrs.
Ellen McClure, Colborne Twp.
Brother of Mrs. Myrtle Glazier of
Clinton and Mrs. Florence Sowerby
of Goderich. The funeral was held
from the Stiles Funeral Home,
Goderich on Monday at 2 p.m. In-
terment in Colborne Cemetery.
NEILANS—At Huronview Home,
Clinton, on Wednesday November
7, 1973, John Neilans in his 84th
year. Beloved husband of the late
Rachel Cook and dear father of
Mrs, John (Jean) Leiner, of Weston,
Clarence, of Clinton, and stepfather
of Robert Schrenk, of Kentn0re,
New York. Also surviving are one
sister, Mrs. William (Rae) Shad-
dock of Clinton. Seven grand-
children and one great grandchild.
The funeral was held on Saturday,
November 10 at 1:30 p.m. from Ball
Funeral Htme, 153 High Street,
Clinton. Interment in the Clinton
Cemetery.
COX—At South Huron Hospital,
Exeter, Thursday, November 8,
1973, Elizabeth Shaw, widow of the
late Albert T. Cox (1956) dear
mother of George of Clinton,
Reginald of RR 2, Grand Bend and
Lionel deceased (1973). Also sur-
viving are two grandchildren, in her
90 year. The funeral was held Mon-
-day, November 12, 1973 at 2 p.m.
from the T. Harry Hoffman Funeral
Home in Dashwood. Interment in
Grand Bend Cemetery. Rev. W. G.
Mills officiating.
WEBSTER—At Huronview on
Sunday, Nov, 11th, 1973, Lilly
Govier, formerly of Londesboro in
her 87th year, Beloved wife of the
late Archibald Govier of Lon-
desboro. Predeceased by one son
Jack and three brothers and one
sister. Also surviving are several
nieces and nephews.. The funeral
was held on Tuesday, November 1:3,
1973 at 2 p.m. from the Beattie
Funeral Home, Clinton. ReV S.

Ball's Cemetery.

Our Fire of Nov. 4
has created a degree
of havoc
Your cooperation and patience during our cleanup and
rebuilding has been and will be appreciated.
The stock not totally destroyed has been smoke and
water damaged and a quantity of piywoods, doors,
trim, nails, ceiling tile and windows are greatly
reduced. These will be sold for cash, no refunds.
Until our roof and hydro are replaced our millwork
services °will of necessity be reduced. Our new

The efforts of our Volunteer Fire Department preven-

Remembrance Day Service
was held on Sunday morning,
Greeting into the, Sanctuary
were Jim Jamieson and Lloyd
Pipe, while the ushers were
Larry Lovett, Wayne Lyon,

Whyte, The choir anthem was
"0 Ood our heir and Ann
Snell gave the story of John,
McRae, The last post was soun-
ded, and two minutes silence
was observed,
Rev, McDonald's message
was `!This is Remembrance
Day". The flowers at the front
of the church were placed by
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Watkins in
honor of the marriage of their
daughter Shirley to John
Mallett in Londesboro Church
last Saturday evening.
CUBS
The First Londesboro Cub
Pack met on Tuesday evening
with Bruce Hunking of the
Blue Den opening the meeting
and Cameron Moon of the
Yellow Den leading the pur-
pose. Baloo David Reid was in
charge of the recreation period.
The boys started their craft
project during the work period
under the direction of Cub-
master Stan McDonald and -
leaders David Reid, Clair
McClure and Laura Popp.
Steven Popp of the Red Den
closed the meeting.

The village lost one of their
esteemed residents, Mrs. Lily
Webster, who passed away in
Huronview on Sunday morning
in her 87th year. Sympathy is
extended to her brother Mr.
Will Govier.
Mrs. Jack Hamilton of Lon-
don and Mrs, Harry McEwan
of Chatham spent a few days
with their father, Mr, Will
Govier and attended their aunt,
Mrs. Lily Webster's funeral.

Mrs. Laura Lyon, Mrs. Earl

day Nov. 4, a dinner was held
at their home for Mr. and Mrs.

of.Brucefield and Mr. and Mrs.
Bob Smith of Toronto.
Rev. McDonald was in At-
wood on Tuesday attending the
funeral of the hite Elgin
Coughlin.
Mr. and Mrs, Dennis Shob-
brook, Kim and Cindy of Gait
visited on Sunday with his
brother, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon
Shobbrook, Darrell and Diana,
Mr, and Mrs. Charles Nelson
and Mr. and Mrs. Peter

day dinner guests at the Manse
with Rev. McDonald.

Two symphony
concerts planned
The Goderich Rotary Club in
co-operation with the Sully
Foundation will be sponsoring
two symphony concerts this
year, the first of which is to be
a Christmas Symphony on
Saturday, December 15 at 8
p.m. in Goderich District
Collegiate Institute.
The concert will be conduc-
ted by Clifford Evens and guest
artists will be the famed Earle
Terry Singers.
The Spring Symphony is
already in the planning stages.
This will be the fourth year in a
row that a symphony concert
has come to Goderich and area,
