With Christmas in the offing
your writer has been asked by
the Historical Subcommittee of,
the Centennial Committee
(that must be the longest' title
of any of our local
organizations) to remind all
Clintonians who send Christ-
mas cards to friends and
relatives, who are former
residents of the town, that the
main Centennial celebrations
will be held week of August
Civic Holiday 1975. Mention
this fact on your card - many
have 1974 holidays already
planned but we are all hoping
that a goodly number of our
former town folk would plan to
include our Centennial in their
plans for 1975.

"To plug or not to plug that
is the question" - with
apologies to the Board. This
can become quite a burning
question at times. Our policy is
that if there is a paid adver-
tisement, large or small,
elsewhere in the paper it is then
up to the first column or town
talk whether or not the item in
question could have a boost.
And this, in no way is intended
to sound as if this column is the
be all and end all of everything,
far from it. Anyway without
further ado - it is worthy of
mention that our own Central
Huron Secondary School
Drama Society have worked
hard and enthusiastically to
produce three one-act plays
which will be staged in the high
school auditorium Thursday
and. Friday nights of this week.
More details in the adver-
tisement elsewhere in this
edition.
