Fire brigades from Blyth and
Clinton responded last Thur-
sday afternoon to a fire on the
farm of Ken Vodden of Con-
cession nine, lot 23 of Hullett
Township. A fire to burn of
some cornstalks got out of
hand. Thanks for all the help,
Bill and Miss Maimie Ross
have taken up residence in
Blyth. We wish them much
happiness in their new home.

for their regular meeting with
an excellent attendance. Mr.
McDonald showed slides of the
Hi-C company trip last summer
as well as other slides of in-
terest.
Plans were made for the
program for the coming season
which includes a Walk-a-thon
to be held on the November 23
to 25 with proceeds to the
World Relief Fund. The group
will meet on the second Friday
and the last Sunday of each
month.

tober 23, 1973, Wilmer George
McClinchey of RR 1, Varna.
Beloved husband of the former Net-
tie Pepper, clear brother of Mrs.
Emerson (Mable) Kyle, of Kippen,
and Mrs. Ivan (Gertrude) Steckle of
Bayfield, also survived by several
nieces and nephews. The funeral
service was held on Thursday, Oc-
tober 25 at 2 p.m. from the Bon-
thron Funeral Chapel, Mensal! with
Rev. M. Morrison officiating.
Pallbearers were Wilmer Wenn-
chey, Parkhill, Campbell McKinley
and Frank McClinchey of Zurich,
Wilmer Reid, Harold Dowson and
