SENIOR FOOTBALI.
The senior Redmen suffered
their first defeat of the year at
the hands of the Goderich
Vikings defending Huron Perth
Champions, The 19 - 0 score
was no indication of the game
as Goderich scored on a 80 yd.
return and the recovery of an
offensive fumble, The Tone
touch-down scored against the
Central Huron Defense was on
a long pass. The Redmen of-
fense bogged dawn on the
Goderich 10 yard line and that
was as close as they got to get-
ting on the score sheet. The
Vikings have not been scored
on yet this year and their team
on the average outweighs our
Redmen by about 30 pounds.
The senior Redmen would
like to express their ap-
preciation of the Pep Rally and
the support the school gave
them.

Millar to Fin Jewson.

score 14 - 14, a Goderich player
dropped the ball in the end

CLINTON 310,40
In. Third Division League
play at the weekend, Clinton
hosted the league leading Ger-
man Canadians and lost by a 4-
I score.
Clinton came out pressing
and in the first half play was
even with both teams playing
good soccer.
Stewart Lyon in goal for
Clinton had numerous fine
saves and was the main reason
for the Germans being kept off
the score sheet. Late in the first
half, Lyon was beaten cleanly,
by a hard shot from the Ger-
mans' centre, Jeurgens.
The score remained at 1-0
against Clinton until well into
the second half when, with the
Germans outplaying the local
team, Armstrong in attempting
to pass back to the goalkeeper,
made a bad defensive error,
allowing Jeurgens to steal the
ball and score his second goal.
Clinton then began to fight
back and a long mid-field pass
from Brian Kennedy found
Charlie Lipp who relayed the
ball into the goalmouth where
McLachlan pushed it out of the
goalkeeper's reach.
This short-lived rally by
Clinton was destroyed when in
the last 20 minutes the more
experienced Germans took
complete control of the game
and added two more goals to
make the final score 4-1 in their
favour,
' MINOR SOCCER

All Stars by a 1-0 score with

goal.
This put Clinton into the
final of the 'B' series
against St. Marys Pee Wees.
Clinton again dominated
play and with the score 3-1 in
Clinton's favour on goals by
Paul Galachuck (2) and Rot-
teau, it appeared as if Clinton
would take home the Trophy.
