Church was decorated with
candelabra and baskets of pink
and white gladioli and mauve
mums for the wedding on
August 24 of Connie Lynn Gib-
bings, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
William Gibbings of RR I, Clin-
ton and Vite Stanley Chomicki
of London, son of Mrs. Alex
Kalichuk Walton and the late
Mr, Placyd Chomicki.
Rev. L. Lewis officiated at
the double ring ceremony while
Barbara Symons was the
organist. Jim Medd sang "Just
a closer walk with Thee" and
"May the Good Lord Bless and
Keep Thee' accompanying him-
self with his guitar.
The bride, given in marriage
by her father and mother, chose
a full-length gown of white
sheer silk organza over net,
styled with a sheer ruffled V-
neckline and sheer sleeves for-
ming into ruffled cuffs. The
gown was accented with flower
appliques which trimmed the
bodice and skirt. Her floor-
length veil edged with mat-
ching flower trim was held with
a headpiece of white flowers
and tiny leaves. She carried a
bouquet of daisies and pink
sweetheart roses with pink
streamers tied in bows at the

of honour and the bridesmaids
were Miss Connie Harris,
Holmesville, friend of bride;
Mrs. Donna Lenaghan, Rich-
mond, sister of groom,
. Miss Cathy Gibbings, sister
of bride was the junior
bridesmaid.
The maid of honour and
bridesmaids were dressed alike
in full-length gowns of pink
organza flocked in white. Puff
sleeves and empire waistlines
were accented with white and
pink lace and contrasting bows
fell down the front of the skirts.
Matching coloured flower
wreaths were worn in their hair
and they carried nosegays of
white daisies and pink and
mauve carnations with
streamers of matching colours.
Gregory Gervis, Clinton,
friend of groom, was the groom-
sman and the guests were
ushered by Mark Kalichuk, RR
4 Walton, brother of groom;
John Gibbings and Paul Gib-
bings both of RR 1, Clinton,
brothers of bride.
The reception was held at
Clinton Legion Hall with
Black's Orchestra providing
the music.
The bride's mother received
guests wearing a full-length

the bride chose a blue and
white crepe pantsuit with a cor-
sage of pink swwetheart roses.
The couple are residing at 780
Viscount Rd., London.

honour of the bride prior to her
wedding by Mrs. Robt, Gib-
bings and Mrs. Jack Andrews,
aunts of the bride; Mrs. Wayne
Desjardine, Mrs. Ron Walper
and Brenda Walper, cousins of
bride; Mrs. Maude Radford of
Blyth, great-aunt of the bride;
Arlene Andrews and Connie
Harris; and Mrs. Tielman
Westerhout and Mrs. Clayton
Celis, neighbours of the bride.

Baby's Breath.
The Matron of Honor was
Mrs. Carol Wammes of Strat-
ford, sister-in-law of the bride.
Attendants were Mrs. Lia
Hoggarth and Miss Joanne
Wammes, both of Clinton and
sisters of the bride. They were
dressed identically in gowns of
peach polyester satin palazzo,
styled with lacy bodices and
long puffed sleeves and stand-
up collars. The Matron of
Honor carried a traditional
cascade.of white fugii pompoms
and Sonja roses with clusters of
blue strawflowers.
The groomsman was Neil
Wammes of Stratford, brother
of the bride and the ushers
were William Hoggarth of Clin-
ton, brother-in-law of the bride
and Dave Walpole of London, a
friend of the groom.
Following the wedding, a
reception was held in the Clin-
ton Legion. Guests attended
from London, Blenheim, Nova
Scotia, Bothwell, Oshawa,
Brussels, Seaforth, Springfield,
Glencoe, and Goderich.
For a honeymoon trip to
Southern Ontario, the bride
wore navy slacks with a blue
checked blazer with white ac-
cessories and carried a corsage
of red carnations. The couple
are residing in London.

Baskets of snapdragons,
gladioli and asters graced the
altar in Auburn United Church
September 1 for the evening
wedding at which Thomas
Wesley Vanderburgh of Port
Albert took Donna Jean
Baechler, RR .3 Auburn for his
wife,
Pastor Alfred Fry and Rev.
Leonard Warr conducted the
double-ring ceremony, Mrs.
Norman Wightman was the
organist.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Baechler,
RR 3 Auburn, and Mr. and
Mrs. Ken Vanderburgh, Port
Albert, are the parents of the
groom, •
For her wedding, the bride
chose a gown of fantasia crepe
in a floor-length empire-
waisted fashion trimmed with
ruffled lace. The long sheer
sleeves of polyester georgette
featured wide buttoned cuffs.
1-ler long train veil was caught
with a flowered seed pearl
headband and she carried a
bouquet of white shasta daisies,
yellow rosebuds and baby's
breath. She also wore a small
turquoise necklace, a gift of the
groom.
Matron of honor was Mrs.
Janice Dickson, sister of the
groom, Port Albert,
Bridesmaids were Miss Wendy
Dickson, RR 3 Auburn and
Miss Sandralee Baker, RR 5
Goderich, both friends of the
bride.
They wore blue flowered
nylon sheer crepe in a floor-
length empire style trimmed
with ribbon lace and featuring
long sheer sleeves. They wore
white floppy brimmed hats
trimmed with lace and carried
bouquets of yellow shasta
daisies, white mums and blue
statice with blue ribbon ent-
wined among the flowers. Each
attendant wore a small
turquoise necklace identical to
the bride's.
Flowergirl Miss Nancy Chap-
man, Goderich, wore a floor-
length blue flowered nylon
sheer crepe gown with high
neckline and flowers in her
hair. She carried a bouquet
identical to the bridesmaids'
bouquets except smaller.
Groomsman was Don
Dickson, brother-in-law of the

tendants wore white tuxedos,
black pants, blue ruffled shirts
and blue tinted carnations, •
The wedding reception Was
at Saltford Valley Hall where
multi-colored streamers gave a
festive air. The bride's mother
wore a floor-length lime green/
polyester gown trimmed with
white lace and a yellow cor-
sage, The groom's mother
selected a floor-length mull
colored flowered halter dress
with a white carnation corsage.
For travelling to Naples,
Florida, the bride changed to a
sleeveless short dress styled
along empire lines with a low
V-neckline and a ruffled trim
at the hemline.
Mr. and Mrs. Vanderburgh
are residing at 107 Wolfe
Street. The groom is an em-
ployee of The Goderich Signal-
Star.
Prior to her marriage, the
bride was the guest of honor at
several showers; at Port Albert
with matron of honor Mrs.
Dickson and Juanita Yundt as
hostesses; at the home of the
bride's sister, Barb Chapman;
and in Auburn United Church
with friends and neighbours in
attendance.

The wedding took place on
August 31 in St. Louis Park,
Minnesota, and the reception
dinner was held in the Radison
Hotel In Minneapolis.
Following a wedding trip to
Scotland, the couple have set-
tled in Minneapolis.
