Alfred Buchanan.-39b. meets The Niagic Circle Unit of Wesley-Willis U.C.W. commen- ced their fall work on Tuesday evening Sept. 11 with 26 present. This was a supper meeting and was held at Mrs. George Beatties cottage. Mrs. Florence Oliver opened the meeting with a welcome to the lad lee and thank you to Ef-:, Ef- fie for her invittitiOn. followed with a poem "God gives us joy." Miss Mary Jamieson read the Scripture and the theme of the worship "God is still with us" was given by Mrs. Oliver and everyone joined in prayer. The business was conducted. Announcements included: Huronviei.v Bazaar Oct. 3rd; Anglican Bazaar Oct. 17; Regional Meeting at Ontario St. Church, Oct, 11 at 7 p.m. with Dr. Anne Graham Langford as guest speaker, ladies to appear in hats made from kitchen utensils; the fall Thankoffering of Ontario St. and Wesley-Willis to be held Oct. 25 at 7:30 in Wesley-Willis Church, with Dr. Oath as guest speaker; and the Wesley-Willis Country Store on Nov. 3. A bail will be packed around Nov. 16. Mrs, Effie Beattie Made a farewell presentation to Mrs. Mow att of a silver trillium pin in memory of the Magic Circle Unit and Gwen responded in her usual gracious manner Mrs. Troth of Bayfield was in- troduced by Mrs. Beattie and, together with her husband, took us on a conducted loin. of New Zealand (via pictures and words.) The views were beautiful and the talk informal and very entertaining. Mrs. Beattie presented her with a token of appreciation and the meeting closed with the benediction. We started the meeting with the 4-H pledge. We read out the meeting 2 subject Matter and filled out the sheet. Then we decided to make Onion Sdup. While the Onion Soup was cooking, we decided the name for dur club "the Pot Wet, chess'. Michelle and Marianne were the cooks tonight. Some of the girls liked the soup and some didn't, The meeting ended at 9:30. On Sept. 17 we started the meeting with the 4-H Pledge. Tonight we made apple dum- plings. Brenda and Anne Were the cooks. We read 'the subject matter for meeting three and filled out the sheeta. Finally, the apple dumplings were done. We had ieecream with them and it tasted delicious. Every one liked them.
