Rev. James Reddoch officiated at the ceremony. Organ music was provided by Mrs. Strapp and Ron Neyvatte played a trumpet solo. The bride was given in marriage by her father and her attendants were her sister, Ur- sula Oltman who was maid of honour and a niece, Cindy Buchanan was the flowergirl, Graham Reddoch, brother of POPP Londesboro United Church was the setting for the August 10 wedding of Douglas Lorne Popp, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Popp of R.R. 1 Auburn, and Sandra Margaret Good, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Good of Londesboro. Rev. Stan MacDonald of- ficiated at the ceremony and Harry Lear was the soloist, ac- companied by his wife on the organ. The dress featured an empire waist, short puffed sleeves and a stand-up collar. the groom was groomsman and Bob Busch and Ken Rhodes were ushers. The reception followed the ceremony at Sut- ton Park Inn, with Dwight Moulin acting as master of ceremonies, The couple are residing in Scarborough, Ontario, where the groom, a graduate of University of Western Onts.rio Medical School will serve inter- nship at Scarborough General Hospital, The bride, also a graduate of Western with honours B.A. in Psychology has worked for the past year as a psychometrist at the Goderich Psychiatric Hospital. Wesley-Willis United Church was decorated with a bouquet of gladioli for the September 1st wedding of Raymond Riley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Riley of Londesboro, and Cathy Steepe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gor- don Steepe of R.R, 2, Clinton, Rev. L. S. Lewis officiated at the double ring ceremony, while Cathy Potter played the organ. Given im marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor- length gown of nylon organza over tulle and taffeta and featured a fitted bodice that was styled with long lily-point sleeves, scalloped sabrina neckline of chantilly lace and sprinkled with iridescent sequins. By Fred McClymOnt The United Church Women held their Septethber meeting last Thursday evening with the president, Mrs. Ralph Stephen- son in charge. She opened the meeting with a prayer. Group one was in charge of devotions, Mrs. Ida McClinchey read the scripture followed by prayer by Mrs. William McAsh, The offering was received by Mrs. Louis Taylor and dedicated by Mrs. Bob Stirling. The topic for the evening "Lively Stones" was given by Mrs. Stirling and Mrs. William Taylor read the poem 'If Christ were to knock at your door today" to close the devotions. The business period was opened by the secretary's report read by Mrs. Gordon Johnston. Sixteen members answered the roll call by telling of incidents in their lives this summer. Mrs. McClinchey read a thank you note. The treasurer's report was read by Mrs, Ralph Stephenson. Thirty calls were made to sick and shut-ins during the summer. It was announced that the ran Rally of the U.C.W. will be held October 11 at p.m. in Ontario Street Church, Clinton. The members decided to hold a smorgasbord supper again this year on Wednesday, Oc- tober 3rd. The meeting was closed with a prayer by Mrs, Bob Stirling and lunch was ser- ved by hostesses Mrs. Bill Rev, Stanley McDonald of- ficiated at the marriage of Robert David Anderson and Jennifer Isabel Cook in Lon- desboro United Church on August 17. Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. David Ander- son, Londesboro. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Olive Cook and the late Harry Cook of Goderich. The bride, who was given in marriage by her uncle Douglas Matheson of London wore a Jean Muir gown of champagne chiffon over crepe and carried a bouquet of peace roses and hoya leaves. The bride's attendants were her sister, Mrs. Joanne Sproule as matron of honour. Miss Darlene Hayter and Miss Susan Bissett were bridesmaids. They wore navy blue dotted swiss pinafore gowns and carried bouquets of mixed summer flowers. The bride's and bridesmaid s bouquets were arranged by Avis Bissett and Agnes Moon. Attending the groom was Beverly Jewitt of London. Guests were ushered by 'Gary Sproule and 'Robert Campbell. UNITED CHURCH A Rally Day Service was held last Sunday in the United Church with Rev, Murdock Morrison in charge.
