Mrs. Jagger ind her parents returned to England lit 1926 and during the second World War had as their Nests on army leave Kenneth 1. Scott and Air Force, Mr. J. Keith Arthur. Mr. and Mrs. J. Keith Arthur elcomed the Jaggers at Alton Airport and following a eeks visit in Auburn, Mr. and rs. Kenneth J. Scott took hem to Welland. ARRIVE FROM ENGLAND Misa Anne Foam was guest of honor at a bridal shower in St. Augustine hall last Satur- day evening, The hall was at- tractively decorated and games and contests were carried out by Mrs. Raymond Boyle and Mrs. Ken Leddy. A reading was given by Mrs, Raymond Leddy of Lucknow. Anne and her sisters Eileen and Katy assisted their sister to open the gifts. Mrs. William Red• mond read the address. Lunch was served by the ladies of the community. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. _Irwin Schmidt on the birth of their son Bradley James, a brother for Tracy and Brenton, Another grandson for Mr. and Mrs. Ted Mills, Mrs. Mills took Tracy and Brenton to Burlington and will remain a few weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Allan McDougall of Sudbury and Mr, and Mrs. Andrew Belanger of Azilda have been holidaying with the former's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth McDougall, Mr. and Mrs. William Rieck of Kitchener and their daughter, Miss Sheila Rieck of Guelph visited last Sunday with Mr. and, Mrs, William Straughan. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Elliott of Toronto spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Miller. Mr. and Mrs. Austin Hart- man of. Goderich visited last Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. William Straughan. Mrs. Oliver Anderson and her daughter Miss Nancy An- derson arrived home last Friday evening from a three week tour of England and Scotland. Miss Gail Seers of Toronto spent the weekend with her parents, Mr, and Mrs. William Seers and family. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Liver- more, Robbie and Donald of Fordwich visited last Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Donald Haines. Mr. and Mrs. Garth Rice and SW 'Andy'of Toronto visited last Sunday with Miss Laura Phillips and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Johnston, Mr. and Mrs. Robert J, Craig of Ilderton visited on the weekend with his father, Mr. William J. Mr. and Mrs. Horace Ban- croft of Mount Forest and Mrs. Horace Emery of Stratford visited recently with Mr. and Mrs. Albert McFarlane. Mr. and Mrs, Ernest Holt- zhauser of Goderich visited last week with Mr. and Mrs, Maitland Allen. Mrs'. William Moss visited last week in Stratford with her daughter Mrs. Robert Cook and Mr. Cook. Mrs. Wilfred Sanderson returned home after a few days in Clinton Public Hospital last Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. John MacKay of London and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. Finkbinder of Thornton spent the weekend with the former's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Duncan MacKay. Brian Craig, Stephen Haggitt and Bill Empey returned recen- tly from a trip to the West Coast. Mr, and Mrs. Robert Daymon of St. Catharines visited on Sunday with Mr, and Mrs. Alvin Plunkett and family. Mr, and Mrs. Elmer Ford of Stratford visited last Sunday with her sister, Mrs. Roy Daer, Mr.' Daer and Mir Gordon Drier; Maker Billy Pierce and Miss Anne Pierce of Toronto' are holidaying with their grand- parents, Mr. and Mrs. Worthy Young. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Daer and Gordon Daer entertained over 30 members of the Walkerburn club and friends and had as guests of honor, Mr. and Mrs, Worthy Young who were celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary. A social evening was enjoyed. Mrs. Larry John- ston read an address of congratulations and Miss Anne Pierce of Toronto presented the gifts, Mr. and Mrs. Young thanked their friends and a dainty lunch was served, Mr. and Mrs. Don Dewar, Keith, Carol and Karen of At- wood visited on Saturday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Daer and Gordon Daer. Members of the Clinton Christian Reform Church for. med a choir for the Sunday evening song service led by Aire Van Der Ende with devotions by Rev, Beukema. Twenty-nine residents were honored on Wednesday after- noon at the July birthday party sponsored by the Brussels and Cranbrook Women Institutes. Mrs. Yvonne Knight in- troduced the program which in- cluded a piano duet by Sharon and Roseanne Engel with the "Brussels Stompers" rhythm band playing and singing several old favorites, Members of the band are Wilma Hemingway, Peggy Cudmore, Alberta Smith, Leona Arm- Couple fested at reception A reception and dance was held Saturday evening, July 28th, 1973 in Legion Hall, Clin- ton, Ontario, in honour of,' newlyweds Mr. and M. Mustone, formerly Bonnie Riehl, daughter of Mr, and Mrs. William Riehl, 24 North Street. Prior to an enjoyable evening of dancing to the music of "The Trutones", Elmer Trick of Clinton entertained with several piano selections which were enjoyed by all, During the evening, Phil Gamester of Sar- nia sang three numbers in- cluding "Because" and "Sunset Sunrise", he was accompanied by Mrs. Berne (Doris) McKinley of Zurich on piano. Following Mr, Gamester's numbers, Mrs. McKinley gave trumpet selections with the band. Following the dance ,,clad plates were served to the guests by ladies of the Legion. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Lou Mustone, Sr. parents of the groom, Framingham, Massachusettes; Miss Peggy Stewart, London who was Bon- nie's Maid of Honour; Mr. and Mrs, Robert Riehl and family of Capreol; along with relatives and friends from Toronto, Sar- nia, Exeter, Heneall, Zurich, Goderich, Seaforth, Clinton and district. Bonnie, Lou and the latters parents returned to their respective homes in Framingham, Massachusettes Sunday from Toronto by air. Bonnie and Lou plan on depar- ting for Spain in late fall where Lou will study in the University or Madrid. strong, Alma Watson, Leona Connelly and Lulu Kerr. The celebrants were presen- ted with a gift and the ap- preciation of residents was ex- tended to the ladies by Mrs. Mary Johnston who celebrated her 99th Birthday this month, Cup cakes and lemonade were served to 150 residents and guests by the institute members who made a tour of the building to visit with residents from their area. The Rhythm Band from Goderich Psychiatric Hospital with Gordon Harrison as leader and accompanist provided the Family Night program. Shorty Munro was M.C, for the evening as well as singing a solo and giving im- pressions of the bag pipes and Hawaiian guitar, The band played a number of old selections and dances. This has become a very popular program with the residents and we hope to have another visit from this group in September.
