Donald Wayne Jervis and
Dorothy pearl Jackson, both of
.Burlington were united in
marriage on the 14th day of
July 1973 at the groom's
boyhood home on the 14th con,-
cession of Goderich Township
where his Parents spend the
summer months.
The ceremony took place at
Lp.m. on the lawn with Dr.
Mowatt pf Wesley-Willis
Church in charge of the wed-
ding service,
The attendants were the
bride's sister and brother-in-
law, Mabel and Donald Blair
of Guelph. Mrs. Elsie Hender-
son played the wedding march
and played during the luncheon
hour,
The ' lovely day favored
photographer Kelvin Jervis in
trying to capture, in pictures
the garden scene and the
bride's lovely pink gown and
matching floral head piece,and
also her sister's gown and
beautiful nosegay.
After the wedding luncheon,
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Jervis left
for a trip to the East coast.
The assistance of Mrs. Won-
netta Holland was much ap-
preciated on this occasion by
her Aunt and Uncle Lorne Jer-
vis,

of Toronto were ushers. Dennis
wore a rose and stephanotis
boutonniere with his charcoal
gray tuxedo while his atten-
dants wore blue carnation
boutonnieres and gray tuxedos.
Organ music at the church
was played by Murray McNeil
of Londesboro. Betty Snell,
also of Londesboro, sang "The
Wedding Song" and "I
believe".
Hisako Inoue, the bride's
penpal from Japan, attended
the wedding and caught the
bouquet later at the reception,
which was held at the Lon-
desboro Town Hall following
the wedding.

Northside United Church,
Seaforth, was the setting for
the marriage of Sheila Mae
Bray and Raymond Edward
Kennedy on July 6th, 1973, at
7:30 P.M, The double-ring
ceremony was performed by
Reverend T. C. Mulholland.
The church was decorated
with candelabra and floral
arrangements of white
gladiolus, daisies, carnations
and baby's breath.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Bray,
Seaforth and Mr. and Mrs.
Elgin Dale, Clinton, are the
parents of the groom.
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, chose a floor-
length gown of white silk
organza, styled with a gibson
girl collar and sheer bishop
sleeves, featuring a softly
gathered skirt from mid-waist-
line; The gown was accented
with two bands of guipure lace
flounce and flower appliques
which trimmed the front bodice
and skirt. A detachable
cathedral length train similarly
outlined in guipure lace
flounce, fell from the back
waistline. She wore a scalloped
finger tip length veil gathered
into a large Alexandria style
headpiece. She carried a white
Bride's Bible with an
arrangement of phaleanopsis,
orchids, stephanotis and baby's
breath.
Mrs. Deanne Beattie,
Seaforth, was the matron of
honour and the bridesmaids
were Mrs, Elaine Scott,
Toronto, sister of the groom,
and Miss Debta Hood,
Brussels, cousin of the bride.
The matron of honour and
bridesmaids were dressed alike
in full length gowns of sea blue
dotted awiss organza styled
with short puffy sleeves.
Shoulder cap ruffles accented
the bodice and wide flounce
hemline, Swiss lace garden
party hats completed their en-
semble. They carried white
gathering baskets of white
daisies, pink variegated
miniature carnations, blue cor-
nflowers and baby's breath.
Ray Beattie, R.R. I, Seaforth,
was the groonisman and the
guests were ushered by Douglas
Bray, Amherstburg, brother of
the bride, and Brian Kennedy,
Clinton, brother of the groom,
Mrs. Carol Carter, organist
accompanied Miss Mary Anne
Segeren, soloist, when the sang
"The Wedding" before the ser-
vice and "The Wedding song"
during the signing of the.
Register.
The reception was held at
Brodhagen Community Centre
with the Wayslders Orchestra
providing the music. The
bride's mother received guests
wearing• a floor-length gown of
floral georgette with white ac-
cessories and a carnage of
yellow sweetheart roses with a
touch of white, The groom's
mother wore a floor-length
gown of mauve crepe with
white accessories and a corsage
of pink sweetheart roses with a
touch of white.
For travelling the bride
chose a floor-length gown of
deep pink polyester crimplene
with a white lacy shawl and
white accessories. She wore a
corsage of corn-flowers and
pink variegated miniature car-
nations.
Upon return from their
honeymoon to Yellowknife,
N.W.T., the couple will reside
at 244 Cobourg Street, Strat-
ford.
Guests were present from
Amherstburg, Toronto, Wind-
sor, London, Exeter, Stratford,
Goderich, Listowel, Clinton,
Brussels, Londesboro and
Blyth. <
-Prior to the wedding, ,the
bride was honoured with a, ,
family shower at the home of
her Grandmother Bray,
Brussels; a surprise shower at
the home of Mrs. Dianne Beat-
tie, R.R. I, Seaforth, and a
miscellaneous shower given by
Mrs, Marilyn Gilchrist, Strata
ford.

daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack
Pounder of Lambeth and

marriage in a double ring
ceremony by the rector, Rev.
George Youtnatoff,
Organist Mrs. Donald John-
ston of Bayfield played
traditional wedding music and
accompanied the soloist.
Robert Davidson of Windsor as
he sang "A Wedding Prayer"
during the signing of the
register.
The bride who was given in
marriage by her father, chose a
sheer white organza over net,
formal-length gown. Inserts of
pleated sheer organza, outlined
with guipure lace formed the
bodice. Her Cathedral length
veil was held by a Met Cap
and she carried a cascade of
pink roses and daisies.
Maid of Honour, Miss Nancy
Graham of Bayfield, wore a
Karen Marie Sheardown,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Harold Sheardown, Goderich,
became the bride of Ronald
Larne Tyndall, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Lorne Tyndall, Clinton, in
a double-ring ceremony June
22 at North Street United
Church. Rev. Robert Raymont
officiated.
Escorted to the altar by her
father, the bride chose a white
full-length dress and train of
fantasia crepe trimmed with
yellow daisies. She wore a
waist-length veil and carried a
bouquet of yellow roses among
white carnations and baby's
breath.
Penny Bricker, Goderich, was
maid of honor in a full-length
dress of yellow fantasia crepe
with white sleeves and a yoke
of white lace. She carried a
bouquet of white daisies with .
yellow centres.
Gowned identically to the
maid of honor were the
bridesmaids, Ann Sheardown,
Kingsbridge, and Diane Tyn-
dall, Clinton.
Groomsman was John Hudie,
Clinton. Ushers were Wayne
Sheardown, Goderich, and
Steven Tyndall, Clinton.
The reception was at Salt-
ford Valley Hall. The bride's
mother wore a flowered
polyester flocked sheer dress
with a corsage of pink roses.
The groom's mother wore a
full-length pink floWered em-
pire-waisted dress with a cor-
sage of pink roses.
For travelling to Northern
Ontario, the bride changed to a
navy blue and white polyester
pant suit with a corsage of red
roses.
The couple are ,residing in
Saltford.
Showers were given in honor
of the bride prior to her wed-
ding by Penny Bricker in the
home of Hilda Hirst; Alice
Dougherty, Colleen Straughan
and Judy Bedard, all of
Gode`rich; and Lulu Merrill,
Clinton.

the White Carnation at
Holmesville with dancing to
