Valentine Manager The Royal Bonk of Campds Sudbury, Ontario Meer Mr. Valentine« At the outset, there were no large businesses in Canada and this country has achieved its present status and life style because of the success of independent businessmen, Nowhere is this more true than in the Province of Ontario. The Royal 3P4rAr wee a great deal • of its sancess to supporting independent businessmen and growing with them, It would. appear a.dvieable at this time to re-emphasi0 the ilsporbance of supporting those who have the courage and initiative to go into business for themselves. And there are good, reasons. Firstly, there is a. real need for vigorous growth in this section of the economy and financing is one of the neceesary ingredients. Secondly, bank financing is one of the few avenues open -to the independent operator in his desire to develop his business. Therefore, I would like to strew that The Royal her policy is to give special consideration to applica.tions fox. loans from et-Aller, independent businessmen. To make this happen I am as you to bring your maximum energy and imagination to boar in encouraging such applications. If we are able to help independent busineesmen, then in the long run, we will be helping ourselves and: Canada. ixioel.y yours, s-- CLINTON NEWS-RECORD, THURSDAY, MAY 21„11/73 The Baylisid Boat Yard launched a trimaran which was built in Bayfield. (News-Record photo) Ba By himingNik ERICKSON Messers Michael and Steven Farris, student Ministers of Knox Presbyterian Church, are from Toronto, and are in- terested in the young people. They have contributed the following article. Sunday evening, a party was held at the cottage of Michael and Steven Farris for the young people of Knox Presbyterian Church. Sixteen people atten- ded. The party was marked by a barbecue and sing-song, Mike Farris led with his guitar and Steve Farris spoke briefly. The party was intended to be the first of the summer young people's meetings, Sunday evenings at 7:3Q. We will have fun, food and most importantly, a chance to grow together in the knowledge of God by looking at what he has to say to us in His Word. Since everyone seemed to en- joy the inaugural meeting, high hopes are held for the suc- cessive ones. The Meetings are, of course, open to all young people, and will continue to be held at the Farris cottage which is on Victoria Place, directly behind the Cluster Restaurant.
