students from Huron Centen,
nial School at Brucefield
presented their spring program,
"Showboat", on Monday after,
noon, The show, directed by the
musical director, Mrs. Doris
McKinley with piano accom-
paniment by Mrs. Mary Moffat,
was thoroughly enjoyed by
everyone with a fine display of
musical talent.
The Principal of the school,
Arnold Mathers, introduced
the program with the ap-
preciation of the residents ex-
tended by Hugh Walker,
The Clinton Kinette Club en-
tertained the ladies from
Ground Floor North and Cen-
tre on Tuesday evening at a
social get-together at the Clin-
ton Public School. Members of
the Club provided transpor-
tation to the school and,
following an evening of bridge,
euchre and crokinole, served
lunch to the guests. From all
reports, it was a most delightful
evening.
on Thursday evening
"Family Night" there was
another first for the Home
when the Brookside school at
Dungannon entertained the
residents with a minstrel show.
This show had been presented
at the school in April and was
complete with an Interlocutor,
end men, jokes and fine singing
and acting from the entire
group of forty students,
Members of the teaching for-
med the orchestra with Louise
Wilson, Art Finlayson, Don
Cameron, Ted Pritchard, Colin
Cameron and Rick Orr, taking
part.
Bob Rutledge, a former
native of Dungannon, thanked
the group on behalf of the
residents, expressing the hope
they would come back again, as
it was rated by everyone as one
of the best.

capable staff.

Mrs. W. Harrett, Mrs. Brock
Olde led in the prayer for
Auxiliaries and the minutes
and correspondence were read

a summary of plans for the
Nightingale Tea,
Mrs. Ted Davies reported
that applications for bursaries
for any girl entering the nur-
sing profession should be in the
hands of the guidance depart-
ment of Central Huron Secon-
dary School not later than May
31.
Careers Day was held at the
Hospital on May second when
Mrs. Paul Walden, assisted by
Mrs. Doug Ball and Mrs. Harry
Ball conducted a tour of the
hospital for 35 interested CHSS
students.
The Women's Institute
Ladies are staffing the cart for
the month of May and Varna
UCW will look after the cart
during the month of June.
Mr. Marlatt, Goderich, who
is with the Self Help govern-
ment sponsored program, was
present to display several pain-
tings by Huron artists. These
works of art will be given to
hospital institutions
throughout the County.
An invitation was accepted
from Mrs. Harrett to hold the

son of Mr. and Mrs. Dewar
Norman, Goderich.

the church,
Given in marriage by her
father the bride chose an A-line
gown of white satin, with a
round neckline fitted bodice
and long fitted sleeves accen-
ted by blue lace and cathedral
train. She wore a finger tip veil
of French lace illusion falling
from a silver tiara with seed
pearls. She carried a bouquet of
white carnations and pink roses
with white satin streamers.
Mrs. Glenda Littlechild of
Clinton was matron of honor,
gowned in a full length hot
pink A-line gown with mat-
,ching hat, She carried a
bouquet of white carnations
and blue tinted, mums. . daughters, Mrs. Edward
Herb Armstrong of Goderich (Helen)' Whitby of Wingham
was best man. Usher was A " and Mrs. James (Isabel) Ed-
via Westlake of London, ward of Clinton; and two
white orchid corsage.
The couple will reside in
Clinton.
Guests were present from
Toronto, Tavistock, London,
Orillia, Clinton, Goderich and
surrounding district.
