The Clinton Public Library is open afternoons and evenings every day but Wednesday end Sunday and has an excellent reading room. At 2:30 every af. ternoon but Sunday, the senior citizens men get to-gether to play cards in the library basement and would welcome more men. At Clinton Arena this month, there is a lot going on with roller skating on May 11 12 - 18-19-25- 26, and on May 12, there is a dance with The Brahma playing. On the 19th, a stag and on May 29 more wrestling. At Hully-Gully just south of Varna, there will be dances on May 12th with Star Trex, on the 19th with Bryon and the Acetones and on the 26th, with the Country Music Men visit. At the White Carnation in Holmesville there are also The Schneider Male Chorus of Kitchener was en- thusiastically received last week, when they appeared at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Clinton. They were sponsored by the Madeleine Lane Auxiliary, The 30 member male chorus delighted the audience with its wide repertoire of songs. The program ranged from the "Hallelujah . Chorus" by Beethoven to the Western song "On Top of Old Smoky." Conductor Paul Berg, who has been with the group since its formation in 1947, capably led the group through some dif- ficult numbers. Assistant producer Fred Lehman, who also sings in the group, directed some dances. On May 12th The Cavaliers are featured. The 19th sees Star Trex playing and on the 26th Country Boys are in. The Clinton Legion are having a Social on the 19th with The Blue Water Playboys, The Fair Board will be clan- clog at the arena to the Revised Edition on the 26th. At Bayfield Arena they are going to start roller skating on the 18th and 19th, also, Bayfield, Public Library is open Monday and Saturday after- noons and Wednesday evenings.
