Confirmation Service
A confirmation service was
held last Sunday evening when
11 candidates joined in con-
fession of faith and eight by
transfer of certificate.
Mr. Harry Lear welcomed
into the sanctuary with Gary
Buchanan, Allen Peel, David
Reid and Greg Riley ushering,
The candidates and elders en-
tered the sanctuary with the
processional hymn "Just as I
am". Mr. Lear sang the Lord's
Prayer and "This is our
prayer" for the choir anthem.
Mr. Jim Jamieson clerk of
session called forth the
following candidates Joseph
Kenneth Longman, Carolyn Jo-
y Bowie, Diane Marie Presz-
cator, Wayne Albert Lyon,
Ronald Albert Hunking,
Glenda Darlene Bromley,
Sheila Maye Baker, Beverly
Willis Bromley, Kevin Gordon
Howatt, Sandra Lynn Riley,
and Bonnie Lillian Shepherd.
Rev, McDonald conducted
the questions and vows and the
Laying of hands by the
minister, the clerk of session
and a member of session.

dictates were welcomed. Tea
was poured by two of the can-
didstes' grandmothers, Mrs.

The anniversary committee
met on Wednesday night and
finalized the plans for the an-
niversaries on June 24, Rev,
Carson will be the guest
speaker, On October 21 Rev.
Harold Snell will speak and at
the outdoor service picnic at
Seaforth on July 10, Rev.
Heckendorn will be the guest
speaker.

Mrs. Norman Alexander is a
patient in Clinton hospital
having had appendix surgery
Saturday. We wish her a speedy
recovery.
Baby Shannon Duizer was a
patient in Clinton hospital over
the weekend. We wish her a
speedy recovery.

and she has gray shoes. I like
her because she gives us food.

She has long, black hair. Her
eyes are green and she's about
the size of you. Pin just about
up to her size. I like her
because she cooks my food. She
likes to eat steakettes with

wears slacks or dresses, She's
not fat, but tall and skinny and
big and little, Big sometimes
when she eats and little when
she don't eat. I like her a lot,
because she gives me food and

the lazy boy chair but she gets

Paddy makes gooder stew than
Mom. Every night she tucks us

and she has a big mouth. She
has long legs. I like her because
she cooks food for me, I like
potatoes best.

She's got hair and skin and
false teeth. She takes her teeth
out to wash them. She's not
very small. I like her 'cause she
gives us candy. She just works
sometimes.

She looks kinds like a man,
because she got her hair cut at
the hairdresser's like a man,
She has a fat rear end. She has
hard, hard skin on her little
toes and she eats lots of beans,
I like her because she .gives me
good things to eat.

My mammy has blonde hair
just like me. She has glasses the
same as me. She mostly wears
slacks and a top. I like her
because she buys me wagon
wheels to take to school,

because she makes meals up at
4 o'clock, Dad doesn't go to
work, so we all eat when the
bus comes home.

of mine. She is a big woman, I
like her because she gives us
food and washes our clothes.

just loves stew. I hate it. I like
her because she lets Larrie and
me stay up until Lorrie goes to
bed.

have no teeth. She just eats a
little bit and she likes to eat
liver. All the time she wears
slacks and tops. I like her
because she lets me outside to
play.

Sometimes she's mean and

get fighting she's mad. I like
