tention that if majority was not
met, she would have to wait
until 1974 to again place the
motion before the Board, she
withdrew the motion. She did
this in view of the fact that all
policies of the Board and its by-
laws are in the process of being
reviewed. As a member of this
review committee she will have
a chance to put forth hher
views to the other committee
members, and in that way will
have it brought forward when
the Board is asked to make a
decision on all Board policies
and by-laws in about two mon-

"People know what is on my
mind and they will have two

Extended tours have been
made to eastern and northern,
Ontario; a number of visits
have been made to the United
States. The chorus spent a
week in Bermuda giving a
series of concerts and, most
recently, made a trip to the
west coast. Paul Berg, conduc-
tor since its formation, has had
extensive choral, conducting ex-
perience both in Canada and
the United States, He is Direc-
tor Qf Cultural programs at the
University of Waterloo.
The chorus draws its
programs from an extensive
'repertoire including music of
the •church, favorite hymns,
spirituals, folk songs and con-
temporary works including
selections from the American •
Musical Theatre.
These "Ambassadors of
Song" have brought fame and
esteem not only to Schneider
Foods of Kitchener but also to
their community.
See the advertisement in
today's paper for more details
about the appearance of the
group on May 2.

As usual the recent card
party at the Orange Hall, spon-
sored by the Ladies' Orange
Benevolent Association was
well attended. Mrs. Jennie
Wise won the prize for ladies'
high; Mrs. Frank Cummings,
lone hands; Mrs. Charles Cun-
ningham, ladies' low; Mr.
Charles Cunningham, men's
high; Mr. Ernie Ellwood, lone
hands; Mr. Tom Deeves, men's
low.
Two special draws for ten
pounds of sugar were won by
Mrs. Ed Nickle and Mr. Ernie
Ellwood.
Since this is the Easter issue
of our paper, the following,
found in the Easter issue of
"The War Cry" seemed ap-
propriate. "In Bermuda the
beautiful purple Passion-
Flower is regarded as a symbol
of the Easter story. The blen-
ding of botany with theology is
described thus: The purple
colour-the colour for mour-
ning Christ's death, Three
stigmas-the nails which pier-
ced His hands and feet. The
style-the sponge which was
dipped in vinegar to moisten
His lips. Five anther - the
wounds in. His body, The
stamen-representing the
Cross. Corona or radiance at
the foot-the Crown Of Thorns.
The ten petals-the twelve
disciples, minus Peter who
denied Him and Judas who
betrayed Him; or the hands
that smote Jesus in the
Judgment Hall. The bracts or
three under-leaves-the third
hour, the hoar of the
Crucifixion. The tendril-the
lash with which Jesus was
beaten at the pillar, The seed
pod-the world He came to
save. The plant leaf with three
points-Symbol of the Holy
Trinity. The fragrance-Spices
prepared by the women."

There is certainly going to be
"something for everyone" in*
the entertainment line in the
next two weeks, beginning with
the CHSS production • of
Oklahoma. This will be
followed by The Schneider
Male Chorus from Kitchener
and then Passe Muraille's
"The Farm Show."
The Schneider Male Chorus,
under the direction of Paul
Berg, is not unfamiliar to Clin-
ton, having been here some
years ago at the same church,
St. Andrew's Presbyterian. .
Organized in 1947, the
chorus has travelled many
thousands of miles and an;
peered in hundreds of concerts.
