The Port Elgin Kinsmen
Club will he sponsoring their
3rd Annual Voyageur Day on
Saturday, May 19,
The, main event will he the
canoe races down the Saugeen
• River from Paisley to Port
Elgin,
There will be several classes
in the canoe races, including
professional single kyak;
double kyak; couples, man and
woman; couples from Bruce
County (man and woman);
ladies' doubles, etc.
To get the day off to a good
start, the Paisley Rotary Club
will sponsor a Voyageur Day
Breakfast, complete with all
trimmings, prior to the races on
Saturday morning.

Annual Girl s Hockey Tour-
nament as they went un-
defeated to take the Champion-
ship title last Sunday in Clin-
ton.
The three day event, which
involved 12 teams, was played
at the Vanastra Arena and the
finals and consolation finals
were held in the Clinton Com-
munity Centre.
Some of the hockey played
rivalled anything that the local
boys have played and proves
that girls possess as much
hockey skill as many boys do,

pionship, Belmont scored 28

The bowling season is over in
the Molson's Crown Mixed
League and Six Pack emerged
victorious after threee weeks of
play-offs in which total pinfall
counted. The winning team was
composed of captain Bruce
Collins, Nancy Skinner, Willis
Bromley, Linda Reid, Bill
Munroe and' Donna Gibbings.
Final play-off standings were
Six Pack, 10290; Zip Cats,
10281; The Goldens, 10231; Hi-
Jinx's, 9997; Crown Jewels,
9784; Half and Half, 9783;
Canadians, 9554 and Dot's
Spots, 9032. Thelma Jones had
both the ladies high single of
260 and the high triple of 671,
while Gerry Harris had the
high average of 215. Bill Gib-
bings had the men's high single
of 265 and Bruce Collins had
the high triple of 664 and the
high average of 218.

solation division.
The Clinton Raiders were
narrowly beaten out for a spot
in the championship game
when they were beaten by one
shot on goal against Ilderton.
Organizers of the tournament
were pleased with the fan sup-
port and are already planning
next year's tournament.
Bowling season is nearing end in leagues
The high team single went to
Macks who rolled a 1222 and
Macks also got the high triple
with a 3404 mark.
In the Tuckersmith Mixed
League, the the play-offs are
underway and Seldy's Sumacs
has the lead in total pinfall
over Wallys Willows, Bob's
Birches, Joost's Junipers, Ed's
Elms and Cliff's Chesnuts.
Anna Aldwinkle had both the
ladies high single of 258 and
the high triple of 636. Bob
Walters had both the men's
high single of 285 and the high
triple of 730.
Jump-N-Beens lead the way in
the Londesboro Ladies' League
with 121 points followed at a
distance by Mixed Beens and
Jelly Beens with 92 each and

Heidelbergs continue their

Dave Graf was the big
scoring gun in Clinton with
four goals,Steye Doak, Brian
Allin, Ed Jones and Ken Lee
scored the other DRMCO goals,

Holmesville. Tony Verhoef
scored the other Holmesville
goal.
DRMCO came up with a big
third period scoring four unan-
swered goals, They led 3-1 after
one period and 4-3 after two
