LONDESBORO III 4-H The first meeting of the Lon- desboro III 4-1-1 Club was held at the Londesboro Hall for the spring project on "Sportswear from Knits". The election of officers was as follows: president, Faye Mason; vice-president, Marlene Sewers; press reporter, Cheryl Reid; secretary, Barbara Glousher; They discussed the different types of knits and talked about knits suitable for the type of garment they are going to make. The membership pam- phlets and hand out sheets were given out. PERSONALS Mr, Nelson Lear and Mrs. Myrtle Fairsenne attended the funeral of their cousin, Dr. Asa Mair on Wednesday in Waterloo. Mr. Bert Shobbrook attended the O.E.S. memorial service for Mrs. Fred (Edith) Minshall on Wednesday night at Stiles Funeral Home, Goderich, Miss Pat Burns of Toronto spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robbie Burns. Dora Lynn Elierby of Clinton spent the weekend with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Shahbrook. On Thursday afternoon, Mrs. Bert Shobbrook held a card party for the hospital. Vanishing parties winners were: Maude Radford, Nettie Clark and Maimie Crawford. Four members of the Clinton Public Utilities Commission were among the more than 1,500 delegates from across On- tario who attended the Ontario Municipal Electric Association convention held in Toronto last week, Representing Clinton at the OMEA were Don Symons, Hal Hartley, John Wise, and Charlie Brown. OMEA represents about 350 -member municipalities with ap- proximately 2,000,000 "hydro" customers. The Association traditionally maintains close scrutiny of power costing to en- sure that users get the best ser- vice for the lowest possible cost, A highlight of the conference was an address by William Davis, Premier of Ontario. BOARD The hall board met on Wed- nesday night for their annual meeting in the hall. Present were Milton Dale, Tom Duizer, Perc. Gibbings, Ken Hulley, Gordon Shobbrook, Mrs. Eric Anderson, Mrs. Jim Howatt and Mrs. Bert Shobbrook. The minutes were read and financial report given by secretary-treasurer, Gordon Shobbrook. Milton Dale was appointed chairman for two years and Pen Gibbings was ap- pointed vice-chairman. Mrs. Les.
