Lost in the blaze were 70 sows and 200 piglets, they saved 20 head of beef cattle and 75 pigs, Mrs. Ella Jewitt and Mrs. El= Jewitt of Clinton spent Wednesday with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hall of Ethel on the oc- casion of their 50th wedding anniversary. Mrs. Russell Consitt of Zurich and her aunt, Mrs. Luther Sanders, were guests for the holidays of Mr, and Mrs. David Johnston of Pilot Mound Manitoba, it being their 60th wedding anniversary. They returned home on Saturday evening by Air Canada. Mr. and Mrs, Barry Powely returned on Wednesday from B.C. to spend a week with her parents Mr. and Mrs. John Thompson, Jim Sharon and Bob enroute to their home in Ottawa. Mrs. Frank Riley spent Thur- sday in Stratford. Miss Vicki Powell of Auburn spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Buchanan, Bill, Doug, Betty and Bob. Sharon and Bob Thompson spent the holidays with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Terrence Hunter of Colborne Township. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Wammes and Ronnie of Clinton, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Sanders, Jennifer and Jeffery of Brussels Mr, and Mrs. Marris Bos, Steven, Sharon and Kenny, Miss Mary Wammes of Vanastra, and Mr. Cliff Brindley of Riversdale were Saturday evening visitors with Mr. and Mrs. John Warn- mes and John. Mr. and Mrs. Ellwood Spicer of Regina, who have been visiting in Durham spent Wed- nesday and Thursday with Mrs. Ella Jewitt and boys enroute to Florida for the win- ter months. Miss Gisela Dorrance of Owen Sound spent the holidays with her parents Mr. and Mrs.• Ed Dorrance.
