Barbara Jane McCabe,
beloved wife of the late John
Snell of Londesboro, passed
away at Clinton Public
Hospital on Sat, Dec. 23 in her
76th year.
She was born in Colborne
Township, the eldest daughter
of the late Wm. McCabe and
Martha Young. She spent most
of her life in the Goderich area,
until ,1936 when she moved to
Hullett Township where she
has since resided. She was a
member of Londesboro United
hurch.
Surviving are two sons, Jack
d Raymond, both of Hallett
wonship; three daughters,
s. Robert (Helen) Hinton of
incisor, Mrs. Robert (Elva)
eck of Zurich and Mrs. Ray
Betty) Fisher of Colborne
ownship; 17 grandchildren;

ne brother Mr. Hugh McCabe

Mr. Davison was born to the

He attended the old Hayfield

ury and was retired in

Funeral services were held

REV. JOHN GRAHAM
Following a three-week
Ilness, the passing occurred at
t. Thomas-Elgin General
ospital on Friday, December
th, of the Rev. John Graham
f Wallacetown. He was in his
0th year.
Born in Belfast, Ireland, he
came to Canada in 1914 and
worked in the mission field of
Northern Saskatchewan, Later,
he graduated from Emmanuel
College, University of Saskat-
chewan, at Saskatoon with
B.A. and L.Th. degrees.
Following his ordination by
the Rt. Rev. J.A. Newnham at
Saskatoon in 1919, he con-
tinued to serve in the mission
field until 1926 when he en-
tered the Diocese of Huron ser-
ving in charges at Chatsworth,
Delaware, Brussels, Bayfield,
Woodstock, Watford, and his
final charge, Port Burwell and
St. Peter's, Tyrconnell. He was
instrumental in the establish-
ment of the Huron Church
Camp at Bayfield and for 25
Years was secretary of the
Diocesan Board of Religious
Edneatiun. Mr, Graham retired
from the active ministry in
1963, when he and Mrs.
graham moved to
Wallacetown.
A member of Cameron
Lodge, A.F. & A,M., Dutton, he
served as chaplain for many
years.
Surviving are his wife, the
former Constance Cox; a
daughter, Mrs, Dale (Monica)
Duffield of Lambeth, and a son,
Patrick of Bayfield. Eight gran-
dchildren also survive. A
brother and a' sister
predeceased.

conducted a memorial service
at the Cyril J. Beill Funeral
Home on Sunday evening,
The service at St. Peter's
Anglican Church, Tyrconnell,
on Monday afternoon was con-
ducted by Rt. Rev. Carman J.
Queen, Bishop of Huron,
assisted by Venerable Lionel
Nelles, Rev, Bryan Foxton and
Rev. E.C. Ward, Miss Aloha
Horn was organist. Interment
was in St. Peter's Cemetery,
Tyrconnell.
Clergy of Elgin Deanery for-
med a guard of honor and the
pallbearers were Clarence
Bobier, Gordon Ford, Gordon
Gow, George Brown, John
Brown and Walter Hull.
Friends and relatives atten-
ded from Bayfield, Lambeth,
Aylmer, St. Thomas, Port Bur-
well, Woodstock, Watford,
Blenheim, London, Hyde Park,
Port Stanley, Tillsonburg,
Fingal and the surrounding
area.

Van Den Assem Sr.
Mrs. John Van Den Assem
Sr. of Blyth passed away at
Wingham General Hospital on
December 30, 1972 after a
lengthy illness. She was 67. She
was born in .Amsterdam,
Holland on March 9, 1905, the
daughter of the late Johannes
and Maria Martius. In May of
1951 she came to Canada

John Van Den Assem in Clin-
ton. He survives her.
Following their marriage, the
couple farmed on the Ninth
Concession of Morris Township
until 1971 when they moved to
Blyth.
She is survived by five
children, Art Lazet and Peter
Lazet of Clinton, Mrs. Case
Kuiper and Mrs. Chris Guetter
of Clinton and Mrs. John Van
Den Assem Jr. of Brussels. Two
brothers, Fritz and Joe Martius
of Amsterdam, Holland also
survive.
Funeral services were held
January 2, 1973 from the Blyth
Christian Reformed Church
with Rev, Beukema in charge.
Interment was in Blyth

Alvin Snell and Lloyd Walsh,
